Day 02 – MUMBAI excursion & sightseeingMorning after breakfast excursion to Elephanta Caves - 9 nautical miles across the sea from the Gateway of India lay Elephanta, also known as 'Gharapuri'. Visit this Green Island for the wonders of the 7th century, the painstakingly hewn rock-cut cave temple, dedicated to Shiva. The Maheshamurti panel in which Shiva is shown as a creator, protector and destroyer, is a sight that should be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime. Regular excursions to Elephanta start every day from the Gateway of India.Afternoon Mumbai Sightseeing tour - Visit Gateway of India, Mumbai's principle landmark. This arch of yellow basalt was erected on the waterfront in 1924 to commemorate King George V's visit to Mumbai in 1911. Drive pass the Secretariat of Maharashtra Government and along the Marine Drive which is fondly known as the 'Queen's Necklace'. Visit Jain temple and Hanging Gardens, which offers a splendid view of the city, Chowpatty, Kamala Nehru Park and also visit Mani Bhavan, where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai. Drive pass Haji Ali Mosque, a shrine in honor of a Muslim Saint on an island 500 m.out at sea and linked by a causeway to the mainland. Stop at the 'Dhobi Ghat' where Mumbai's 'dirties' are scrubbed, bashed, dyed and hung out to dry. Watch the local train passing close by on which the city commuters 'hang out like laundry' ‐ a nice photography stop. Continue to the colorful Crawford market and to the Flora fountain in the large bustling square, in the heart of the city. Optional visit to Prince of Wales museum (closed on Mondays). Overnight stay at the Mumbai Hotel.

Day 03 – Visit ALIBAUG – Korlai / Kashid Beach or AlibaugMorning after breakfast drive to Gateway of India for visit to Alibaug – Korlai Portuguese Village. Visit Korlai fort and the people of Korlai speaking Portuguse. Arrive and check in at the Resort at Kashid Beach. After Lunch free at the Beach. Dinner & Overnight stay at the Alibaug or Kashid Hotel.

Day 04 – ALIBAUG / KASHID to DAMAN enroute visit VASAI (Bassien Fort)Morning after breakfast visit Vasai (Bassien Fort). The Portuguese fought with them, conquered the fortress on 20th January, 1533 and destroyed it the same evening. During the period 1590 – 1600 the Portuguese put up a rampart wall around the 'Portuguese township' which is now commonly called the Vasai Fort. At one time there were in Vasai as many as 2500 Portuguese, many of them Doma persons who had been granted titles of nobility by their Royal Masters, The King Of Portugal. Therefore Vasai at that time was called 'Dom Bacaim'. Lunch Mid-way. Later drive to Daman (135 Kms & 3 Hours drive). Arrive Daman and check in at the Hotel. Overnight stay at the Daman Hotel.

Day 05 – Sightseeing of DAMANMorning sightseeing tour of Daman. The massive Fort that runs round the settlement like a girdle, dates back to 1559 AD. The Colossal structure in the present form encompasses about 30,000 sq. Meters. with 10 bastions and two gateways. The Fort is protected by a moat on the land side and also connects the river to the sea. It is basically polygonal in plan with projections at regular intervals of about 500 feet and carrying splayed angular bastions. The parapet above the fortification walls is without merlons but is provided with loop holes. The terraces close to the top of the wall are connected to the top of the wall are connected to the inner ground surface by open flight of steps at many places. All along the inner wall, there are barracks for defense personnel's. The inscription above the southern (land) gate mentions that this gate along with the bastions adjacent to it was completed in 1581 AD. after the Mughal invasion in Akbar's reign. The inscription on the Northern (sea) gate gives the date of 1593 AD. for the completion of the Fort wall. On the Northern side within the confine of the Fort were located the palaces, the Secretariat and other official buildings. A large number of Portuguese gentry and their families resided within the Fort. Visit Nani Daman. Overnight at the Daman Hotel.

Day 06 – Drive DAMAN to MUMBAI Airport – DIU Morning after breakfast drive to Mumbai Airport to board your flight to DIU [ 9W 2500 at 13.00 Hrs]. Arrive DIU at 14.05 Hrs meet & transfer to Hotel. Rest of the Day Free at Leisure. Overnight stay at the Diu Hotel.

Day 07 – Sightseeing DIUMorning sightseeing of DIU visiting Ghoghla Beach Diu - The Golden sand beach undulates into the horizon while the Arabian Sea laps away at the edge as though imploring the sands to let it find its own peach. You can do swimming, sunbathing, parasailing, surfing etc. Jallandhar Shrine -Jallandhar Shrine is located on a hillock close to the beach. This small shrine crowned with a dome, contains a niche wherein a stone carved face of Jallandhar is seen. Near by there is also a temple of Goddess Chandrika. The beach is at a distance of 1 km from Diu Town.Hoka Trees Diu - Diu has plenty of branching palm Hyphoena indica (Hoka) trees which are found nowhere else in the country.INS Khukhri Diu - It was inaugurated on 15th December, 1999 in memory of the officers and the sailors who chose to go down with the warship INS KHUKRI when it was hit by a salvo of three torpedoes fired from PNS Hangor, a Pakistani Submarine on 9/12/1971 during the INDO-PAK war. Nagoa Beach Diu - A perfect semi circle beach where the gentle lapping waves beckon you to wade into them for a fun filled time of swimming, gamboling or just lolling around the soft sand shores or to find you napping under the palm trees filled with the soothing breeze.Panikotha-Fortim Do Mar - Legend has it that this ship shape structure was one connected with land by an undersea tunnel. You can see this monument in famous bollywood movie "QAYAMAT"..Return to the Hotel. Overnight stay at DIU Hotel.

Day 08 – Departure DIU – Arrive MUMBAI – Departure GOAMorning free at the Beach. Later transfer to the DIU airport for flight to Mumbai [S2 3500 at 14.35 Hrs]. Arrive Mumbai at 17.30 Hrs. Meet and transfer for Dinner at the Mumbai Hotel then transfer to the airport to connect flight to Goa [G8 379 at 22.25 Hrs] Arrive Goa at 23.55 Hrs.

Dudhsagar Waterfall TripDudhsagar Waterfall in Goa is amongst the top 100 highest waterfalls in the world. Waterfalls in Goa are an added attraction to entertain and pull the crowd apart from its sunny beaches, dazzling discos and swaying palms. This cascading Dudhsagar waterfall takes a steep plunge of 2000 feet down in the wooded mountains of the Western Ghats.
