Reverend Dawn M. Williams Grace Fellowship Worship Center, Virginia Beach, VA
Rev. Dawn Michelle Williams is an ordained Minister of the Gospel. She is a Teacher, Preacher, Author and Kingdom Intercessor.
Rev. Dawn was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System. After graduating from Deep Creek High School in 1988, she attended Old Dominion University where she obtained a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, a M.S. in Elementary Education and a K-12 Library Media Specialist Endorsement. For the past eighteen years, she has dedicated her life to educating young people and has been honored twice as the Teacher of the year for her hard work and dedication.
Rev. Dawn was licensed to preach the Gospel on April 10, 2005 at First Baptist Church Bolling Brook under the leadership of her father, Pastor Clinton Brown, Sr., who is one of the greatest influences in her life along with her mother, Maggie Brenda Whittaker. Rev. Dawn faithfully served as the Youth Pastor at “The Brook,” for four years. In April 2007, she was ordained by the Hampton Roads Ordination Council under the leadership of Dr. Frank Guns, Sr.
For the past seven years, Rev. Dawn has been a member of Grace Fellowship Worship Center under the leadership of the Founder and Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. James E. Jones, Jr. She has been privileged to serve in several capacities as the leader of “Divine Perfection Dance Ministry,” “Gracefully Single’s Ministry” and the “Women of Grace Ministry.” In January of this year, she was humbly elevated to Executive Pastor over Ministry Leaders.
Rev. Dawn is also the founder of “From Dusk-2-Dawn Women's Ministry”. As the founder and leader of this non-denominational ministry, God has called her to provide women with a support network of hope, healing and encouragement.
In March of 2012, Rev. Dawn was blessed to co-author the book titled, “Dear, Lord I think I Married the Wrong Person: Her Story.” In this book, she shares her testimony along with 20 other women who experienced God’s release from an unhealthy marriage. Many testimonies are pouring in from all over about the healing power that’s being released from this book.
Of her many accomplishments, she is most proud of her role as a wife to Mr. Robert L. Williams and a mother to their six children. Rev. Dawn stands on the scripture, I Corinthians 9:16, “For if I preach the gospel I have nothing to boast of for necessity is laid upon me; yes woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!”

9:30 AM — SUNDAY CHURCH SCHOOL — Lesson: The Foundations of the Earth — Isaiah 40:21-31
Evangelist Eloise J. Casper
At the early age of ten years old, Evangelist Eloise Casper (74 years of age) accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized by Rev. W. A. Roberts and became a member of First Baptist Missionary Church of Taylorsville (now known as New First Baptist Church Taylorsville).
Evangelist Casper has been married for 57 years to Willie L. Casper, Jr. and they are blessed to have four children: Cynthia Adams of Chesapeake, Jacquelyn Williams of Fairfield, CA, Willie Casper III of Jarratt, VA and Eric E. Casper (deceased), five grandchildren: Eric, Alicia, Nicole, Olivia, and Mia and six great grandchildren. She attended the Portsmouth Public School System and is a graduate of Chesapeake School of Technology. In 1997, she retired from Portsmouth General Hospital after 28 years of nursing service.
Evangelist Casper, the daughter of late Deacon James and Sister Ethel Jackson, spent her childhood as a member of the Church Sunday School and teaching as a young adult. She received her formal training for the Church Sunday School under the guidance of Ms. Ethel B. Williams and Mrs. Willia Parker, both deceased. Evangelist Casper has continued to be active in church ministry. She teaches the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class #1, a member of the Senior Missionary Ministry, Senior’s Ministry, attends the Mid-week Prayer Service and Adult Bible Study and a Vacation Bible School Teacher. Evangelist Casper was honored to be the “first” Ministry Leader of the “first” Women’s Ministry of New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville). On May 28, 2005, she received her Evangelist License from Mount Carmel Mission School of Evangelism, Norfolk, VA under the auspices of Bishop C. Vernie Russell, Jr. DD, Dean.
Evangelist Casper is also active in her community serving as President of Camelot Seniors Club in Chesapeake, VA, a member of the Chesapeake Seniors Council of Chesapeake, VA and the Red Hatters of Chesapeake and Portsmouth. On April 21, 2005, she received the Chesapeake, VA, Certificate of Completion for the Chesapeake Neighborhood Leadership Fundamentals Course. Evangelist Casper also enjoys sewing and cooking.
What do Evangelist Casper love about New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville): My father brought me here as a young child. I feel this church is a part of my family, even those that have passed on help build my faith in God. I love everyone here and I feel everyone loves me too. That’s what it’s all about.
Evangelist Casper’s favorite scripture is Psalm 37:4, “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart” and her favorite Christian song is “The Lord has Smile on Me, He has Set Me Free”. She believes it is important to tell the story of salvation through Jesus Christ (John 3:16) and desire to live a life that is pleasing to God and be an instrument that He can use to help win souls for Jesus Christ. New First Baptist Church (Taylorsville) is blessed by her willingness to share the word of the Lord with ALL.
11:15 AM Worship Service ~ Guest Speaker
Minister Jewel A. Cherry Minister Jewel Cherry is the fourth daughter of the late
Elder Alfred Wright and Vivian Fayton Wright. She is a
member of the international recording group, Earl Bynum
and As We Are and The Mount Unity Choir; which God
graced to win both the 2014 Stellar Award and Steve
Harvey’s Neighborhood Award for Best Contemporary
Choir Of The Year. Jewel has been blessed to travel to
Hawaii, as well as Europe, on four world tours singing in
Rome, Venice and Switzerland.
Minister Cherry accepted the call to preach the gospel in 2006 and
began her ministry by telling women that being “single and saved” was the best place to be
in Christ. Jewel was indeed praying for a husband but she knew that while God was busy
working on her mate, she needed to continue her work for God.
Jewel focused on building a deeper relationship with God and in January 2007, God sent
her Boaz in the likeness of Deacon Michael Cherry. They were married in September 2007
and are the proud parents of a handsome, energetic and anointed son, Michael Jr.
Jewel received her ministerial license in September 2009. She is determined to fulfill the
destiny that God has for her by trusting Him regardless of her circumstances. Her ministry
focuses on “Kingdom Building” and her mission is to continue to walk and work according
to the will God has for her life.
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun
a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
