01ARE THE PLANETS INHABITED?MAGAZINE LAYOUT
The magazine layout design was developed utilizing Adobe InDesign. The piece was selected because it demonstrates technical skills of creating a unique layout design, establishing a strong focal point, utilizing effective typography, grid systems, and proper kerning.

The image was taken with a Sony DSLR Camera with adjustments made in Photoshop. The piece was selected because it demonstrates technical skills of using a DSLR camera, creating a visual story with strong focal point, and image editing.

The Kids design layout was developed utilizing Adobe Photoshop and represents a collage to represent a fictional design company. The piece was selected because it demonstrates technical skills of creating a unique layout design, establishing a strong focal point, utilizing effective typography, and utilizing and manipulating layers.
04TRAVEL MAGAZINE/ PSYCHOLOGY NEWSMAGAZINE COVERSThe magazine covers utilize the same image but the target audience is different for each cover, and this exemplifies effective creative problem-solving strategies to efficiently transform a design. The two different designs also demonstrate my ability to research and address different target audiences to appropriately design the message that each piece is conveying.

06UPPER CRUSTBAKERY LOGO
The logo design was developed utilizing Adobe Illustrator. The logo was selected to demonstrate technical skills of creating vector illustration (Eiffel tower), layout design, typography, and Brand Development. Appropriate logo usage is important, because it is the visual representation or symbol of a Brand. This logo is one important way the brand will be remembered and recognized.
07PASTA AMOREMENU TRI-FOLD
The menu designs were developed utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. The pieces were selected because they demonstrate technical skills of creating unique vector illustration (vespa), layout design, typography, and Brand Development.
The target audience of the Restaurant was researched and analyzed utilizing creative problem-solving strategies to efficiently transform a design and to ensure ethical designs. The moped or vespa was chosen as a symbol for Pasta Amore, because its connotation suggests adventure and authentic Italian, which is the message Pasta Amore is trying to convey to its customers.

The website was developed utilizing newly learned html5 and CSS coding skills through my coursework at SNHU, as well as new learning Adobe Dreamweaver. The website was selected because they demonstrate technical skills of coding but also of UX design, layout design, typography, the use of color and imagery to convey varying emotions and to communicate a story.

10WELLNESS AWAITSPRINT AD
The magazine print ad was developed utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The piece was selected because it demonstrates technical skills of utilizing Brand Style Guide and researching and curating images and typography to effectively reach the target audience with a call to action.
The project objective was to create and design both a print magazine ad and a Web banner ad to be used to promote the new Amethyst Bay Resort & Spa along with a promotional offer to induce customer action. I came up with a Wellness Concept and an offer of a substantial resort credit/gift card to be used for spa treatments, resort dining, or other experiences at the resort.
