CITY

The site of «la Vallée de la Chimie» (ie. Chemistry Valley) has to be revitalized in the next few years to ensure a massive chemistry conversion into greeen industry. The principal goal is to keep this large industry area. Two city types are developed here, resulting in the confrontation of our developed Urban System and the existing territory.

Urbanized nature :Vegetation is no longer an isolated and decorative element but becomes a key element and asset of the project.

Revival model of the mixed compact town, boosting urban economies by promoting strong relations between industries and housing. The metropolis of tomorrow is a saturated city of multiple temporalities.

2. Transversal pathsLittle pavements crossing grass areas, create a discrete path. Some of them are extruded, becoming urban furniture.

3. Parking lot renewal Pavements coloured patterns are used to redesign the place. At once, it is a parking lot for residents and a new place for cultural exhibition.

Kampa park holds a strategic geographical position, located in Prague city center. It is an island that functions as a large green open space where people are free to do what they want.

We created transversal connections between Kampa park and the old district of Mala Strana, developing a cultural network of museums and galleries.

The Art Center took place in a previous urban project. The program includes an exhibition hall, a gallery, a concert hall, a restaurant, several technical rooms and storage.

The layout comes from the existing site topography. The Art Center is composed of parallel strips, sliding together and leaving a pedestrian path to the museum park.

The project consists in the upgrade of an industrial territory. The goal is to experiment a new way of designing, result of the urban planning (1st semester).

It can be read as an urban experimentation, looking for a new relationship with the ground and the multiplication of its reference levels.

The housing part responds to urban scale, inherent to the urban project. There are massive, affirmate and accurate. The distinguished basement avoids the pitfall of ground floor appartements and the issues of the vis-a-vis. They are designed according to a composition by the vacuum as the entire building, creating the unity.

The Czech do not have market places as an established focal point, so we tried to

develop our architecture around an existing atmosphere. The current movements in Bratrí

Synku square in Prague and itsmain feature (kiosques and

geometry) became our projectbackground.

We located our market hallin this square with regular timing,

the tramway becoming the rythm. Our« market-stop » concept just

came up naturally.

A3 CONFLUENCE, Lyon Confluence

This project takes place in the renewed district of «La Confluence», in Lyon, between the two rivers. Between Urbanism & Architecture, the subject was at first, to define the new area and its links with the public space. Then, we had to design 8 buildings : 2 offices buildings and 6 condominium complex.

THE AGENCY AFAA WON THIS IMPORTANT FRENCH COMPETITION IN MARCH, 2013.

The constant research for natural light in all the offices has defined a specific «shelf» shape. Designed open on the garden and the city, the offices are part

of the district life.

Several cold greenhouses have been created. They are designed as an extension of the working area as well as the meeting room, space for an informal

dialogue or for leisure.

All the housings have been shaped to be «traversing» or bi-oriented, in order to get as much natural light as possible. The circulations, open on the garden, create a calm access for inhabitants.

Moreover, the rooftops are furnished with shared gardens, providing major opportunity for open communication, meetings and discussions between inhabitants

VILLA SEKYRA, PRAGUE

The project has started since 8 years in Prague, in Czech Republic. After the design of the villa itself, AI-DESIGN is reponsible of the complete design from the exterior until the interior and the design of all the furniture of the villa. The customer would like to have both a luxurious house and a masterpiece project from the designer Eva Jiricna.

In this way, I worked on the furniture design of the bathroom, the master bedroom and the office by doing some technical drawings and simulation of materiality.

Work-in-process...

BODY AT WORK, Lyon Ensal

The aim of this exercise was to structure a journey in 3D space thanks to tridimensional construction, that we, architect students would design step by step. The available materials were pieces of wood of two different sizes. We did not have to think about the final shape. Each on built the structure as he pleased, listening only to his senses (empiric approach).

This design is based on origami paper structure, refering to origami art. I

experimented it to create a subway entrance. Two entrances, waves and red color as an

urban landmark.
