Prolog ... A legend in my family goes something like this:

My Great-grandfather from many generations back (one of the original European settlers in the new land), was an explorer, and with the onset of Spring thaw, he headed West. Time passed, and as the trees lost their leaves and the lakes froze over, there was no sure sign of a healthy return. Another fulls cycle of seasons passed and this second Winter he was declared lost & dead.

The following Summer he returned with his “Indian” wife, having married the princess of the tribe.

My brothers, sister and I were told this story many times as children. The tribe has always remained nameless. And it is not for the sake of awakening deep tribal connections or empathy, or the ability to make a claim to what might be due an American Native that I tell the story; but that in having left my land for a return to the European continent, in a search for identity, part of it was presented to me as a child.

The American identity is a melting pot of peoples, but with this comes an inability to recognize a single American culture. Returning from overseas my irst time, I completed my forms for nationality as Irish, German, Italian...; not realiz-ing that what was expected was my citizenship, “American”, not my heritage. This internal quest will ind no end, but I thank the enlightened artists and musicians I met as I passed through Australia—who like myself, were questioning their link to European heritage—who demonstrated to me that the source of their inspiration for identity would be the land.

After returning to the states, and now in Germany, I under-stand the relationship one has to the land’s physical attributes of one’s birth. The irst, uniquely American aspect in all of this being the Native American. They are part of my identity, and perhaps not enough, but as this new millennium pushes forward with technology, a return, not to roots, but to the land should be sought: My reason for interweaving these primitive images amongst the high-gloss, metallic symbols for logos and lyers. We must not lose the wonderfulness of dreams and

fantasy, of arts and humanities: What our bodies are capable of, without an implanted chip.

The more personal side of this one-page epistle follows, accordingly:

Myself, from this generation (after a return to my European heritage, from which the original settlers came to the new land), am an explorer, and with the onset of the technological awakening headed East. Time passed, and as the paints became brittle and the creative voice tired, there was no sign of a healthy artistic return. Another full-time position at another software house came along, and I declared myself lost.

The following job “somewhere” must return to me a creative life, having married the Technology and the Art!

I love a good challenge. My career has endured many; my personal life richer for the experiences. Each obstacle has been an opportunity for greatness, and having lived and worked in diverse multi-cultural settings, understanding foreign languages, my unique catalog of how I got the job done well is thick and weighty.

Technology plays an immense role in my successes. While studying art at the dawn of DTP and CAD, a knowing professor told me to concentrate more on being creative: ‘Learn to draw and paint. And if the need arises, you’ll learn to use the computer as just another tool.’ She was right. Now, I can sit down at a computer and quickly have the text written, the timeline drawn-up or the eCard / the lyer / the poster designed & distributed to thousands of

people instantaneously.

This need for speed; quick, concise decision making: rapid action – can only be achieved with strong organiza-tional skills and a competent, functioning team of motivated players. Myself a master of many things, I willing accept the role as team captain, having organized, managed and led groups of up to nearly 1000 partici-pants (Willing and/or otherwise…). I lead by doing and this includes mentoring and teaching. When a de icit arises, I know I can readily ind the resource or skilled person who can therefore assist me in mastering the next

task-at-hand. And unlike many with whom I have worked, I am grateful to discover someone has a better solution; I know how to ask questions; I know how to learn, too.

The exchange of knowledge and information, clearly put -communication–, has changed drastically over the course of my career: My cell phone can now easily access the contents of entire libraries, thanks to the Internet. But in the end, it is my own intelligence, my unique catalog of experiences, that allow me to demonstrate best practices in facilitating and handling the low of this or any commu-nication. And one has to be bold, con ident, but even more so I have to remain dynamic in my approach to ‘how’, since the rules of yesterday may or may not apply to today.

Michele McCain is a New York City native, known and appreciated for her extra-ordinary talent throughout the world. This multi-talented star of stage & screen [incl. TV, film & radio] began at New York's Shea Stadium in front of 60,000 people where she performed with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.

With firm roots in Gospel, Blues, Jazz Funk, Soul and Rock, Michele has shared the stage with legends from B.B. King to Basement Jaxx. The list goes on and on, and would be too long to name everyone. But Michele will always be grateful to each and every artist she has met along her musical journey.

Now Michele brings her talent to the dance floor in clubs and discos throughout the world. A non-stop powerhouse SHOW of well-known tracks and original hits gets the people jumping and keeps them asking for more. Michele's vocals transcend the unthinkable, transporting you with tracks from disco, pop, elec-tronic and vocal house.

Past tracks have gained international acclaim, collaborating with some of the most renowned Spanish producers and are available on compilations including El Divino Winter & Summer Sessions 2006 (Official CD of Ibiza Nights), Seleccion Basica 2006, Technics - the Collection 2006, Professional DJ's [in session], Gadjo - Yes, I Am A DJ! [My Kickin' Housemusic] Eibi•si House (Vol. VII), Discazo 2005, Heineken House Session (Vol. 1), and Flamenco Groove (Vol. 1 & Vol. 2), Clubtracks-RU 2005/2006. Michele McCain, the singer/songwriter - with her newest collabo-ration headed up by Sound Control production - has released the much anticipated first track "I'll Be Wishing" on Open Bar Music, which is guaranteed to fill the dance floor. With additional follow-up tracks, "I Found Love" is the next big release on Neurotic Grooves by the Slovenian producers Sound Control [BKR aka DJ Benjamin & Ozzy Lee Tiger] and the UK producers Vision-X. Other releases include: "Bring Back That Jazz" on the Swiss Label Pino Music; "Rise Up" with UK producers VisionX on OpenBar Music; "Runaway" on Beat Monkey Records UK, "My Pain" on the UK dance label Asix Tracks.

"All I Can Do" is Michele's newest single from her upcoming album, premiering at MIDEM 2010 in Cannes, France. With master-mixer Gene Leone onboard this power track has kept the D-Street Studio in Philadelphia pumping. A strong package for the clubs is being put together including work by Brazilian Soul Crew (São Paulo, Brazil), DJ Andy Ward from Soul Heaven UK, plus many other collaborators.

A singing phenomena - diva- a 'belter' and wonderfully charis-matic ... are just a few of the superlatives that have been used to describe her. "A world class performer!" To see her is to believe in her ...

Hope you enjoy the music, it's all I have to give ...Peace & Love,

Michele McCain

aphy After twenty years of DJ-work on the local and

international club scenes BKR is one of the pioneers

promoting subculture in Slovenia. He is one of the

oldest supporters of the radio show House FM and

Red Bull Music Academy.

His first gig with electronic music was on

13.05.1995 (50 years After ww2 A Rave Day @

PEKARNA Maribor) at the start with the

subculture in his country. Beside his gigs on

the events of Ambasada Gavioli, Space Events,

Design of Love, Red Bull Jump and Freeze, on

RTV Slovenia and we can count more but the

list is too long. He is one of the few DJs from

Slovenia to appear on major events together

with names like David Morales, Carl Cox,

Valentino Kanzyani, Timmy Vegas, DJ Umek,

Miguel Migs, Tyree Cooper, Mousse T, Boris

Dlugosch, Richard F, Terry Francis, Miss Jools,

Alan Rusell, ... and one of the few home DJ's

that performed in South America (Brasil),

Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia, Germany, Austria,

Swiss, Italy and Spain. On 13.01.2001 he

created a big sensation in the club Teater in Celje

(Slovenia)by performing a 24 hour long set(24

HOURS WITH HOUSE MUSIC) in which many

people didn't believe was possible and some still

don't believe it now. He is looking to do it again or

maybe even improve on it.

His collaboration with some well known

German distributors and labels such as EAMS,

Music Mail, Peppermint Jam, Underground

Solution…… incurred him to start his own

import – export company in the early 90’s with

vinyl and CDs from Germany to Slovenia which

kept him in close contacts with many clubs,

DJs and radio stations.

In July 2007 BKR started his own live slots

“House Styles” on UKs best Internet radio

station www.pressureradio.com. The response

from dj’s, promoters and radio stations around

the world was not long coming. He started

promoting many of the talented producers

from his native Slovenia wich included his old

friend Ozzy Lee Tiger and many other

producers from around the world such as

Timmy Vegas, Logical Groove, Mateo and

Mattos, Andy Ward, Deep Josh, Dario Dattis,

Vision X, Tom & Grade, Steven Stone, Brazilian

Soul Crew……and many labels like Open Bar

Music, MN2S, Tormenta, Black Vinyl included

him on their promo list. His hype charts

appeared on Timmy Vegas’s Universe Media

label page together with the some of the

biggest producers in the music scene today

such as Tony Humphries, Funkagenda and

many others. BKR started a great working

relationship with Oscar P (Open Bar Music) &

Media Services NYC one of the most influential

digital distributor from USA.

With BKRs ability for finding the right produc-

ers, singers-songwriters, re-mixers, labels and

distribution company “Sound Control” was

born. End of 2007, he moved to Palma de

Mallorca, Spain, working as executive

producer for the international entertainer

Michele McCain (www.michelemccain.com),

also known as Ms. M. The results of his past

work you can hear on most digital stores

including Traxsource, Beatport, Junodown-

load and I-Tunes.……Oh Yeah!
