Challenges and Opportunities

• Up to now had 85% market share of the existing fleet EMU Pantograph business

• Missed out on phase 1 of renewal program due to technical requirements, since rectified with our partner license agreement

• Currently no contract in place as each Pantograph is supplied on an RFQ basis which allows 3rd

party suppliers to quote, resulting in Prasa paying more for the product from non OEM suppliers

• Problematic 3rd party payments, one of which has been outstanding for 2 years

• Up to now had 85% market share of the existing Locomotive Pantograph business

• Successful as preferred supplier

by Bombardier for the renewal program

• Lost large amount of market share through the introduction of the Chinese locomotives complete with Pantographs

Challenges and Opportunities

• Fully equipped manufacturing facility that is under utilized• Currently working a 40 hour work week. The goal is to introduce a

2nd or even 3rd shift thereby creating employment

• Taking part in PRASA renewal program phase 2 & 3 • Additional work from companies like Gibela and Transnet • Pamodzi Unique Engineering is ready and capable to supply

currently imported products like Pantographs as we are extremely cost competitive compared to suppliers like China Railways

• Price comparisons:

PUE bellow Pantograph to be offered at an estimated 40% below the purchase price of the Chinese type pantograph
