Dear Recruiting Team,
I am writing to express my interest in working at your ofce.
Even though Iam currently working at an important Spanish
architecture ofce for large-scale buildings, I am looking for a new
labour experience in China.
As a young architect, I would l ike to take part of the creative
and powerfularchitecture context that China is currently living,
contributing to their culturaland social growth. Your ofce keeps
this principles while having a specialsensibility for design and a
strong concern for the materialization of thearchitecture. Due to
my education, both technical and theoretical, I have
developed an analytical way of working based on research and
teamwork.I understand that my role as an architecture ofces
employee is to give thelargest number of solutions as quickly as
possible, providing creative andrational ideas.
I graduated with an Architect Master Degree (MArch) at the
Technical Schoolof Architecture of Seville, obtaining a GPA of 9/10
at the Master ThesisProject. While studying, I spent one year at
the cole Nationale dArchitecturede Saint-Etienne, France. After
graduating, I had a six-month internship inParis where I mainly
worked in French social housing developments. I havealso
collaborated with a Czech studio at the Room for London
competition,at the framework of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
During these last
two years, I have been working in high-complexity architecture
such ashospitals, laboratories and research and educational
buildings in Spain,Brazil and Peru. Working in that context has
given me the perspective andknowledge to understand how to manage
complexity in all the phases ofthe project and how to combine
harmoniously function, matter and spirit.My last international
experience took part a year ago in So Paulo, Brazil,where I was
sent by the ofce I am currently working to set the bases forthe new
Brazilian branch.

The project is located in an ancientroman mills by the
Guadalquivirriver shore. The aim of the proposalis to create a
public space througha series of swimming pools that arethe shadow
of the ancient mills, likethe groove that the water runningthrough
the mills would erodewhen operational. The buildingbegins as new
skin that emergesfrom the mills and folds on itself tocreate high
places from which tolook, sunbathing...

a cumulus of concerns. The color, the way everythingis arranged
and the systematic density are combinedresulting in one of the
strongest representations of thevalues of western contemporary
society. People gounnoticed, embedded within the network of
shelvings thatcontinues until the limit is blurred. This is the
starting pointfor the systematization of the production processes
for theconsumer: the hypermarket.

The proposal seeks to solve the program of the competitionby
pushing the rationalization of the housing type to itsultimate
consequences and preventing the multiplicationof different homes
that hinder the execution of thedevelopment.The inner courtyard is
raised ve feet above the groundto ensure privacy for the neighbors.
The access to thebuilding is, therefore via a soft slope on one
side and stairson the other.

The new campus for the Carlos III Health Institute isconceived
to be understood by separate layers. It isvery easy to recognize
which the main buildings areand where the supporting ones.The
platform building houses the common areas andthose which intended
to energy production. On theother hand- making a transversal
reading- at lowerlevels are located general service and logistical
and
maintenance areas.At a higher level are the laboratories
block,supported at one side in the platforms building and,on the
other side, supported at the administrativebuilding. Common areas
(dining room, cafeteria,kindergarden...) are arranged around the
mainsquare.Between the platforms, a green carpet of grass andtrees
is settled as connection space for all users.
