Welcome to the February Newsletter.
On Monday 12th February Portfield School hosted the ERW DigiMeet. We had over 80
attendees who came to find out more about the Digital Competence Framework.

of Edinburgh participants

volunteering section, by

National Park Ranger, Ian

The brilliant Duke of Edinburgh participants and staff of Portfield SchooI, Haverfordwest had a chance to thank
Valero for their fantastic support in helping to further develop the Duke of Edinburgh programme at the
school. D of E Wales were delighted to present Will James, Valero with their Gold Associate Supporter
Take Part….. For a Healthy Heart Due to inclement weather the Woolly Hat Walk did not take place as planned, however the classes still
enjoyed socialising and eating marvellous cakes. The walk will be rescheduled for after half term.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated so far towards installing a Defibrillator at Portfield School!
Upper 1 and Upper 2’s Coffee Mornings were a great success!
The parents enjoyed seeing the children in their classroom
setting, and catching up over a cuppa and cakes made by the
children.
Upper 5 have been
using the eye gaze
to create pictures
about Wales and
play musical
instruments during
Lower 4 have been busy
exploring the world of
minibeasts and animals that you
could find in the garden as part
of the class topic.
Lower 7 visited St David's Cathedral for their
Welsh Heritage project. They visited the
Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace and the Chapel of
St Non, then had lunch at Oriel Y Parc.
Lower 6 have been very busy - having fun in music with Mrs Jurd, engaging in
Numicon with Miss Williams and enjoying Sensory Stories in the Sensory Room.
