Stock Takes were carried out by a 3rd Party Company. The cost was in excess of a 6 figure sum for bi-annual stock take.

In addition to the high cost Tie Rack staff were involved in a tremendous amount of Pre and Post stock take work.

With Tie Rack staff participation increasing it was decided to carry out the stock takes in-house

More than 2 stock takes a year could be carried.

Move towards Perpetual Inventory/Cyclic Counting model.

SIMS

Simple Inventory Management System

SIMS allows the user to carry out a stock take with out any expensive external infrastructure.

The data is returned to head office.

Compact pocket terminal has a colour touch screen, built in laser scanner, and latest Windows operating system.

The Memor has been selected by a wide range of retailers in the UK and is ideally suited to in-store applications such as stock control, price verification, price mark down, and order entry.
