Popular Culture Part 15For thousands of years, popular culture and various forms of entertainment has been around. With the

advent of the Internet, I Phones, PCs, Youtube, Instagram, Kik, and other forms of advanced technologies, we

understand more about popular culture, symbolism, and the corporate power structure than ever before. Nogood fruit can come from a rotten tree. Therefore, we see how the entertainment industry has shown a lot of

evil not only in Western society, but internationally as well. Not to mention that many movies, videogames,

and other forms of media discuss bout the issues of transhumanism, war, relationships, and other issues. In

this decade, we are certainly developing our consciousness to comprehend the intricacies of the

entertainment industry and of the Universe in general (from the concepts of Phi, the binary sequences, and

the geometric patterns of the Universe. There are even geometric patterns found in music). In our time, we

should learn information about our civil liberties, about the environment, about foreign policy matters, etc.

We want economic, social, and racial justice. We believe in showing compassion to fellow human beings

without arrogance and without egoism. We want justice.

Another point is to be made too. The truth must be shown. There are some reactionaries who want to mockpeople as a way for them to demonize people instead of trying to empower people to understand the truth.

One such person is Mark Dice. There are others like Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, etc. Years ago, I’ve

exposed him. In this time, I will expose Dice again, because he goes out of his way to claim to be a strong

“Christian,” but he uses vulgar, disrespectful language against people who disagrees with him. He sets up

interviews with people which try to mock people’s intelligence on social issues (while the people not

realizing that they are being mocked. For example, he asks people how stars are in the U.S. flag). When he

mocked the Sister Bree Newsone in his YouTube video (by saying that she was involved in a self-serving

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    2/27

publicity stunt which is a bold faced lie on his part. He’s such a deceiver. There are many issues that the

reactionary Mark Dice will not talk about like the system of racism/white supremacy, economic justice, social

justice, environmental issues, human civil liberties in a strong way, and other subjects. Yes, Mark Dice is a

misogynist and has express misogynoir too), then it shows to me once again that Mark Dice is a total fraud.

Bree Newsone is a heroic progressive activist who wants the system of white supremacy to end and for that

evil Confederate flag to come down from South Carolina capitol grounds. I’m glad that on July 10, 2015 thatthe Confederate flag was taken down too. She has worked to fight against the reactionary voter ID Law in

North Carolina. She has been involved in art, music, and film. She’s very talented. Bree Newsone is a strong

black woman. We will defend a courageous Sister like Bree without question. These are the last words that I

will mention here in this article on that fraud Mark Dice. I’m moving on. This article will show many pieces of

information about various movies, shows, and other events.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III

The video game called Call of Duty: Black Ops III has a trailer entitled, “Official Call of Duty: Black Ops III“Ember” Tease.” The trailer shows a massively fictional transhumanist future. Transhumanist archetypes are

found in video games, Hollywood, and other facets of the entertainment industry. The trailer shows a future

where humans merge with robots. This caused the social order to change, the world of sport to change, and

it deals with medicine including warfare. Some say that this is an example of predictive programming (or the

idea that certain things are shown beforehand which will come into the future). Call of Duty is one of the

most popular video games in human history. It has sold over 100 million copies in the past ten years. People,

among all backgrounds, love this game. The trailer shows information on a fictional creation of a “hybrid”

breed of humans. It shows their integration in various fields of human activity. There is a change of

legislation to protect their rights and a creation of a new luxury market selling transhumanist enhancements

to the rich. The trailer of course deals with the weaponized robot humans used by the military. It shows years

into the future in 2020, 2043, etc. in detailing technological advancements. The fictional video game showsinformation what the military intelligence complex uses in real life. One of the scenes shows a gold winner at

the 2028 Nairobi Olympics and she wears prosthetic legs. Those legs are similar to the legs of Oscar

    Pistorius.

We see a shot of an electronic tattoo embedded with a microchip. A screenshot from actual gameplay shows

how players will be half-robots with superhuman powers. That is a way for some to show information about

transhumanism to the youth. The video has an electronic tattoo embedded with a microchip. In real life,

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    3/27

there is technology of electronic tattoos being developed for years. It could be sold in the mass market in

the future. Some people accuse such technology as being the “Mark of the Beast.” The trailer displays riots.

These riots come about, because transhumanism technology causes various economic & social inequalities

that provoke people to react. There is anger and transhumanism is bound to help the elite while the masses

of the people suffer. The trailer also shows a whistleblower (which harkens back to the revelations from

Edward Snowden and others) on how the U.S. army uses transhumanism to create weaponized humans inBlack Ops missions. The government denies it. The Call of Duty game deals with this issue of modified

humans fighting in wars. The Black Ops III shows a player as a half robot with superhuman powers.

Transhumanism has been promoted not only by some scientists, but in popular culture too. The elite

certainly want society to love transhumanist ideologies. Therefore, we should know about the times and act

    accordingly.

    Scientology and Hollywood

Scientology is being exposed by many quarters. The documentary “Going Clear” criticized Scientology

explicitly. Of course, members of Scientology denounce it. Two of some of the most famous members of

Scientology are Tom Cruise and John Travolta. The documentary not only shows information about

Scientology, but it shows the occult elite’s system in the entertainment industry. This documentary is so

controversial that HBO hired 160 lawyers to fight against Scientology’s vicious and litigious ways. Going

Clear talks about Scientology being a combination of pseudo-religion, pseudo-esoterica, and tax exemption. Many Hollywood stars fund Scientology heavily. The documentary says that Scientology uses deception and

it has blackmailed people in it who are rebellious. They make the accusation that Scientology members’

wives are groomed to be in a relationship with Scientology stars. I don’t agree with Scientology at all. John

Travolta and Tom Cruise are members of this group and their lives are never the same since they joined it.

The film said that now ex-Scientology member Spanky Taylor was Travolta’s contact. Travolta read Hubbard’s

book “Dianetics” and he soon became a Scientologist during the 1970’s. Travolta booked commercial, small

acting gigs and his role on “Welcome Back Kotter.” Yet, Taylor was sent to the Rehabilitation Project Force or

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

a prison camp where she was forced to do menial labor and only sleep a few hours a night. She was

separated from her daughter and she escaped with her daughters after conditions became more extreme.

She is not friends with Travolta anymore. Scientology has audits according to the documentary. This is where

members are filmed and reveal their deepest, most intimate secrets and fears. They do this to find “spiritual

and mental” clarity. The auditors record the audits with notes. It is rumored that when Travolta was

threatening to leave Scientology, officials found the notes of his auditing sessions to find out which secretsthat Travolta spills that he may not want to be shown in public. Former official Mike Rinder was involved in

handling secrets of members as he was the head of the office of special affairs.

Many secret societies do the same thing in keeping people silent. For example, the Skulls and Bones have

candidates yell out their deepest secrets (like sexual secrets) as they lie in a coffin during an initiation ritual.

This information can be used for blackmail threats. Tom Cruise and Scientology leader David Miscavige were

friends until he married Nicole Kidman (whose father was a psychologist and Scientologists abhor

psychology). Cruise and Miscavige are fine now, because Cruise used audits. Cruise is no longer married to

Nicole Kidman. The documentary says that Cruise has a young girlfriend and Scientologist Nazanin Boniadi

(she is an actress known for “How I met Your Mother” and “Homeland”). They broke up after a meeting with

Miscavige according to the documentary. Today, Nazanin Boniadi has left Scientology and Nazanin is a non-

practicing Muslim woman. Scientology is a notorious cult and their methods are blatantly extreme. L Ron

Hubbard said the following words: “…The only way you can control people is to lie to them. You can write

that down in your book in big letters. The only way you can control anybody is to lie to them.” (L. Ron

Hubbard, “Off the Time Track,” lecture of June 1952, excerpted in Journal of Scientology issue 18-G). L. Ron

Hubbard was so sick and extreme that he made the following statement:

“…No doubt you are familiar with the Revelations (sic) section of the Bible where various events are

predicted. Also mentioned is a brief period of time in which an arch-enemy of Christ, referred to as the

anti-Christ, will reign and his opinions will have sway ... this anti-Christ represents the forces of Lucifer

(literally, the "light-bearer" or "light-bringer"), Lucifer being a mythical representation of the forces of

enlightenment.... My mission could be said to fulfill the Biblical promise represented by this brief anti-

Christ period…” [LRH, Student Briefing, OT VIII, Series 1]

Yes, L. Ron Hubbard was also a racist and a sexist. He wrote to his second wife that: “…Don’t break your back

scrubbing floors. Get yourself a n____ that’s what they were born for.” In his 1928 diary, he wrote: “They smell

of all the baths they didn’t take. The trouble with Chin is there are too many c___ here.” What we can do is

educate people and hopefully more people can leave the cult of Scientology. Also, the Hollywood system

uses the same tactics as Scientology as Scientology (whose founder was L. Ron Hubbard and he was a

follower of OTO member Aliester Crowley. The OTO was a powerful secret society in America. The OTO used

magic, which influenced many Hollywood movies and people in that industry) is another part of the

    establishment’s system.

    The Godfather

The Godfather trilogy is a famous film series. Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather” has been called by

some as one of the greatest films in cinematic history. Each of the films shows an aspect of how modern

society conducts itself. The third installment was less popular than the first two movies. The movie series not

only talked about the Mafia, but it describes how the super-rich in many capabilities conduct themselves in

general. There are numerous parallels between the Godfather and real life assassinations, conspiracies, and

other nefarious events. The first Godfather won numerous awards in 1972 like Best Picture and Best Actor for

Marlon Brando for Don Corleone. We know about the corruption of Italian Mafiosos. Also, there arenumerous families with more power and are older than the Corleone family. Yet, we know that the methods,

actions, and machinations of the Mafia outline how the oligarchy runs global policy. One quote on this point

    is the following:

“…The powers of financial capitalism had a far-reaching plan, nothing less than to create a world system of

financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of

the world as a whole…Their secret is that they have annexed from governments, monarchies, and republics

the power to create the world’s money…” — Professor Carroll Quigley (Renowned, late Georgetown macro-

historian. Mentioned by former President Clinton in his first nomination acceptance speech), author of

    Tragedy and Hope.

The movie has the Corleone Family advancing their power in their genes literally. They want their culture,

tradition, and genetic lineage to be passed down through future generations. The Don and his clique don’t

trust outsiders 100 percent. The movie shows the Sicilian Mafia to be as full-blooded Italians with rare

exceptions. The story of the Godfather series deals with immigration issues. In real life, decades ago, Italian,

Jewish, and other ethnic immigrants not only had to deal with xenophobia and racism in America. They also

had to deal with economic oppression and other forms of exploitation from corporate power. Therefore,

they formed groups in order for them to survive the cruelties of a capitalistic society. A small minority of

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    6/27

these immigrants formed violent gangs in the midst of poverty and oppression. Many cops back then and

today regularly harm and oppress communities. Not to mention that in communities nationwide, many of

these immigrants worked in the labor movement to promote economic rights. Of course, the forces of

reaction wanted to suppress the working rights of people. Yet, workers and other activists fought to help

establish a minimum wage, stronger working conditions, and other policies in society. This is why we have

to realize that we face a class struggle for liberation. As the Canadian Marxist Sam Gindin explained lastwinter:

“It is not just that…capitalism is inseparable from the compulsion to indiscriminate growth, but that

capitalism’s commodification of labor power and nature drives an individualized consumerism inimical to

collective values (consumption is the compensation for what we lose in being commodified and is the

incentive to work) and insensitive to the environment (nature is an input, and the full costs of how it is

exploited by any corporation are for someone else to worry about)….[furthermore…] A social system based

on private ownership of production can’t support the kind of planning that could avert environmental

catastrophe. The owners of capital are fragmented and compelled by competition to look after their own

interests first, and any serious planning would have to override property rights — an action that would beaggressively resisted.”

The Godfather series accurately shows some cops being brought off or some cops overtly being involved in

corrupt activities just like the Mafia. If you don't believe me, then even ex-NYPD cop Frank Serpico

documented corruption among some officers. The film showed Michael or the Don’s youngest and heir to

the family how important family is. The Corleone’s rise to power is not done via honest, hard work, but being

slick, clever, and allying with underground markets. Don Corleone refuses to go into the drug trade unless

the drugs are not sold in Italian neighborhoods. The movie outlines the hatred the Mafia has for black

people, so I don’t understand how people glamorize or respect the mafia. The Godfather outlines how the

War on Drugs has crippled communities, how prohibition doesn’t work, and how government can be

complicit in facilitating underground economies. The police and legal system are shown as corrupt, which isvery similar to how the justice system is today (which is filled with injustice). In fact, J. Edgar Hoover back in

1951 denied the existence of the Mafia, when Hoover used policies that violated human civil liberties, via

COINTELPRO, etc. J. Edgar Hoover was one of the evil, despicable people in American history. The movie

series shows the Corleones traveling to Vegas and working with Senator Pat Geary.

Godfather II has Michael and his brother dining with Mafia Don Hyman Roth (which could be in relation to

Meyer Lansky or a very powerful Mafia leader) in Cuba. We know that Cuba was once a stronghold of Mafia

leaders. The CIA and the Mafia worked together to try to overthrow Castro since Castro nationalized

resources and used his forces to overthrow the puppet leader Batista. After the Bay of Pigs failed, JFK refused

to invade Cuba again. By 1963, JFK secretly wanted détente with Cuba. Godfather III is more about the

Corleone family being international having billions of dollars. The movie alludes to the assassination of Pope

John Paul I and Roberto Calvi (who was a Vatican banker). P2 Freemasonry has been accused of being

involved in the Vatican Bank scandal for decades. This scandal, according to some people, lead to the deaths

of John Paul I and Calvi. We do know that John Paul I wanted to clean house in the Vatican, but he

mysteriously died under suspicious circumstances. As Michael Corleone finds out as he become older, global

wealth and power doesn’t necessarily equate into happiness or peace. The Mafia and other likeminded

organizations are filled with deceit, deception, competition, greed, and division. Mafia members readily

attack each other or even kill each other for position or power. So, it is not worth gaining the whole and

losing one’s soul. That is one lesson out of many from the Godfather trilogy.

    Rihanna’s “Better Have My Money”

Rihanna never leaves anything to the imagination. Many people love her and many people don’t like her.

She is definitely unashamed about what she represents in her music. There have been many debates about

this music video, its content, and its message. One accurate point about the video is that it outlines the signs

of the times. Rihanna went from showing more love related ballads to songs and videos with very muchgraphic content. The video “Better Have my Money” is not ambiguous on its message and its imagery. The

imagery is graphic. It shows torture and it describes how the music industry really is all about. The music

industry in the mainstream level especially is cut throat, is exploitative, and many artists have sued because

their accountant or agent have caused financial manipulation (and blatant financial corruption). The video

shows images of death, murder, and torture. That’s not my cup of tea. In real life, the CIA and other

intelligence agencies has done torture. The song is about someone owing Rihanna money and she wants

that money back by any means necessary. The song uses the B word, which I don’t agree with it.

Rihanna tries to retrieves her money and her fictional character in the video goes out to torture and kill

people in the fictional video. This is similar to the gore-filled films that are common in our world from Kill Bill

to the Texas Chainshaw Massacre. The video readily outlines dehumanization, torture, and suffering. Thevideo starts with a stereotypical Hollywood wife who crossed paths with Rihanna and her mysterious trunk.

Rihanna leaves the elevator with the woman inside of the trunk and the ordeal starts. Rihanna and her

friends want their money back and they torture the woman in various ways. What’s shown in the video has

been done by people in real life from the Inquisitors, war criminals, etc. The kidnapped woman in the video is

stripped naked and tortured. Rihanna friends torture her and the woman vomits. The woman is blindfolded,

is forced to wear jewelry and makeup. She is drugged. She is placed underwater too.

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    9/27

The woman is tortured and the woman’s husband refuses to give Rihanna her money. So, Rihanna kills the

husband too. The husband’s death is shown in a scene with plastic sheets. Rihanna finally gets her money

and she lies in the trunk where the torture victim was at in the first place. Rihanna is in the trunk, naked, and

drugged. This shows the message that she is a victim too (the victim of the same malicious music industrythat others are). The last part of the video show Rihanna dripping with blood on her face and sounds comes

out. There is no hidden message in Rihanna’s video. It shows how the industry in real life is cut throat,

dehumanizing, and at times violent. For example, Rihanna filed a lawsuit against her former accounting firm

for mismanaging her finances. As part of her claim, she alleged that her former accountant has caused her to

become “effectively bankrupt” in 2009. This was the motivation on why she was involved in the music video.

The corporate elite financially control the mainstream music industry.

Also, another point is to be made too. There are many hypocrites who criticize Rihanna’s video, but won’t

criticize all movies, songs, and other pictures that show the exact same graphic imagery of Rihanna’s video. If

those people want to criticize Rihanna’s video, then they ought to be consistent. Some of these people won’t

even condemn police brutality literally killing unarmed black people. So, people have the right to disagreewith the content and imagery of Rihanna’s video. Yet, the real life murder of unarmed people by the police,

poverty, economic exploitation, and other atrocities are vastly worse than Rihanna’s music video. The

mistreatment of the teenage girl in McKinney, Texas is also worse than this provocative, controversial music

video too. Some parts of the video are things that I don’t agree and they aren’t my cup of tea. I will admit to

that. We don’t need to glorify torture and murder. What we need to do is to be revolutionary and to fight

the machine, so the proletariat (and the rest of the human race) can have liberation.

Yellawolf Supports the Evil Confederate flag

The artist Yelawolf supporting the evil Confederate flag doesn’t surprise me. Many people follow deception

and historical revisionism. I’m glad that many people are calling him out on it. You know my views on the

Confederate flag. The Confederate flag was invented by white supremacists; it was used by white

supremacists to promote the Confederate and Jim Crow apartheid (which only ended a few decades ago).

Today, in our generation, many white people love that wicked flag. So, we know what time it is. We have the

truth on our side and we will fight back against historical revisionism and any form of nefarious deception in

our world. There should be no passes given to a white person in who claims to love hip hop, but wants to

glamorize one of the most evil and despicable emblems in human history. The Confederate flag to me isequivalent to a Nazi swastika. Jewish people don’t play that and rightfully so. We, as black people, should

never play either. Yelawolf is wrong. There are pictures of him wearing a Confederate flag as a shirt next to

some beer. For Yelawolf to say that a wicked flag (used by traitors, racists, and terrorists) as part of his

“roots” is blatantly revealing as part of his agenda. His agenda is to use his Southern “roots” as a means for

him to promote his sense of entitlement, which is another term of his white privilege. Kid Rock is wrong too.

Black people aren’t going for this mess. Many in the Tea Party movement are neo-Confederates and ignore

    how racial and class oppression are serious issues. We pay taxes (the Confederacy lost the Civil War);

therefore I am happy that the rebel flag should come down from the South Carolina Capitol grounds. Slavery

is more than something that happened. Slavery was a brutal form of injustice that exists today (in many

    areas of the world).

The Confederacy instituted that flag; therefore the Confederate flag is linked to the Confederacy forever.

William T. Thompson created the Stainless Banner version of the Confederate flag. William was a white

supremacist racist who explicitly said that he designed the flag to promote the myth of the “supremacy of

the white man.” The Confederate flag is not even a state flag of South Carolina, but it was a flag instituted to

promote the Confederate nation. The Confederate Constitution, state documents about secession in the

South (like from Texas and Mississippi), Alexander Stephens, and others explicitly mentioned that the

expansion of slavery in various territories was one major reason why they seceded in the first place. The issue

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    11/27

of slavery was one major reason why the Civil War commenced in the first place. Human rights are superior

to states’ rights. As a black person, I will never back down. I will never relinquish in the fight against injustice.

Our black ancestors suffered a lot and I will always oppose a reactionary agenda. The Confederates were

    defeated in 1865.

The neo-Confederates were defeated in the 1960’s when they used the Confederate flag to advance the evilof Jim Crow apartheid. The flag stands for evil today just like it did back then. In the future, the racists will be

totally defeated when justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. We, as black

people, will defeat the system of racism/white supremacy. That Confederate flag is a disgrace. The black

members of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry were heroes too.

    NWA

The movie “Straight Outta Compton” sold about $60.2 million in its first week in the Box office. The movie

was a complete whitewash of what NWA was all about and the impact it had for America including the black

community. The original members of NWA were Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Easy-E, DJ Yella, and MC Ren. NWA is a

counterrevolutionary group that was backed by the corporate elites as a means for the group (to be used by

its corporate backers) as a backlash against more progressive, conscious hip hop (or conscious music in

general). The words that I’m about to show may be unpopular to some, but it is the truth nevertheless. The

truth must be shown. During the mid to late 1980’s, Compton was filled with police brutality, economicexploitation, the War on Drugs, mass incarceration, and racism. These evils are repugnant. Yet, there is no

justification for the members of NWA to spew lyrics that glamorize rape, domestic violence, and nihilistic

murder. NWA definitely expressed misogynoir in their lyrics. That is wrong. There is an epidemic of black

women suffering assault, rape, and other forms of injustice. Dee Barnes was victim of violence from Dr. Dre.

Dee Barnes has been blackballed by the industry and she has courageously wrote about her experiences

recently in her article entitled, “Here's What's Missing From Straight Outta Compton: Me and the Other

Women Dr. Dre Beat Up.” Also, Dee Barnes is an excellent writer and she is gifted in interviewing human

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    12/27

beings. Musician Michel'le also said that Dr. Dre brutally assaulted. Dr. Dre has never made any personal

apology to the women that he has assaulted. He just said that he made a mistake. A woman being bruised

and brutally assaulted is more than a mistake. It’s a horrendous crime. The offensive, sexist, and colorist

casting call for the movie is purely abhorrent. As Sikiuv Hutchinson has written in her article entitled,

    “Straight Outta Rape Culture”:

    / 1990,

    ... . '

    .

    , , ,

    , "" .

    1988 " " ("

    , , , ' ")

    47 . " "

    " ," ", & " "

    " ... . , "

    ''

That casting call promotes false stereotypes about beauty. The film omits the violence inflicted on women by

NWA members. Even decades later, NWA members has never apologized for their lyrics that glamorizing the

commodification of women, rape, and assault against black women. Also, this music has been funded by

many big corporations and these artists have made millions of dollars at the expense of the suffering of

black people. The American neoliberal system has harmed black and poor people not only in Compton, but

nationwide. Sister Sikivu Hutchinson has written great information on this issue too. These facts (or the

perverted lyrics and the serious problem of misogyny in the hip hop industry) should mean that we should

oppose misogyny in public and in private. Also, we should continue to fight back against police brutality and

injustices in our communities. As Dee Barnes has written in her article:

    .

    .

    . ...

    , ,

One of the weakest arguments that defenders say about the film is that their music is reality rap. Reality is

not about glamorizing rape and disrespect of women. Any revolutionary can easily show the reality of poor

communities without dehumanizing members of the human race. Anybody who tries to defend lyrics that

glamorize statutory rape or rape in general is lower than low and I have no respect for at all. Now, manyother points ought to be mentioned. We know what points should be mentioned. There is a

commercialization of mainstream music. The corporate heads of the music industry that promotes nihilistic

are just as much responsible for this epidemic of promoting misogyny as those artists who express vile

language in songs. We certainly know

Eazy-E or Eric Lynn Wright passed away on March 26, 1995. He died was diagnosed with AIDS when he was

admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Eazy-E made amends with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg

to his credit and he drafted a final message to his fans. He passed away one month after his diagnosis. He

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    13/27

was buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. We always send condolences to Eazy-E’s

    friends and family.

Police brutality and discrimination are wrong, evil actions. Violence against women is evil too. A movie that

exploits black women in a vicious way doesn’t need our support. Also, the director F. Gray has tried to

minimize the assault against women (as found in the overall patriarchal society). The truth is that there are

plenty of Brothers and Sisters who stood up against police brutality, against racism, and against injustice in

general then and now. These people never used lyrics to promote misogynoir, rape, or assault against

women at all. Many artists claim to be revolutionaries, but love the confines and the privileges of capitalist

society. Some reject any call for a radical redistribution of the wealth, but follow materialistic mindsets. This

must change. It is not just NWA involved in this evil. Many artists and many corporations promote this

misogynistic garbage in the world too. They should be held accountable as well. So, I believe in liberation

and I won’t support the agenda of NWA at all. That’s being real.

Also, it is important to condemn police terrorism. Police brutality in real life is a whole lot worse than what

they have been shown in the movie. I know many people in real life who were the victims of police brutality

and racial profiling. We know that the police institution in America seeks to maintain the interests of the

establishment. We know that many members of the FBI have done illegal spying and terrorism against the

black community (and against other communities). So, I want to make that perfectly clear. We should never

worship the cops as gods. We need emancipation, unity, and liberation as black people.

    House of Cards

The House of Cards show was produced by Netflix. It has 3 seasons so far. It is satirical look in the corruption

that goes on in the realm of American politics. The series outlines a scathing and hard portrayal of the

American political world, especially behind the scenes. Now, some parts of the show celebrate the political

establishment in many ways. The first season of the show outlines the protagonist Democratic Congressman

Francis Underwood. This character is played by Kevin Spacey. Underwood is snubbed in his nomination to a

cabinet post in a Presidential administration he helped put in power. So, he forms his own appointment as

vice President via conspiracy. He murders a junior congressman in the process. In the second season,

Underwood forms his ascension to the Presidency. In order for him to do this, he creates a plot to have the

sitting President impeached. He is involved in murdering numerous people. He personally throws his

mistress named reporter Zoe Barnes under the subway train. Zoe was used by him to plant stories in the

press. He has the FBI entrap Barnes’s fellow reporter, who suspects Underwood in the murder, and convict

him on trumped up charges. The fellow reported is locked up for decades. In the third season, Underwood

becomes a thoroughly conventional president. He has his personal and political difficulties. There is drama

that deals with the squabbles between Underwood and his wife.

There are geopolitical and domestic events going on, which are taken uncritically from real life contemporary

headlines. The first two seasons shows Underwood’s ruthlessness, cynicism, and a lack of sentimentality. His

character is complex. The current season ends up try to support and justify the various policy interests of the

American ruling class. The show views Russia as a totalitarian autocracy, which clamping down on rights and

political dissent. The U.S. seeks to counter Russian “aggression” while working for stability and peace in the

Middle East. Members of the pro-U.S., anti-Russian protest group P___ Riot make a cameo on the show. The

fictional Russian President on the show is Victor Petrov (which alludes to Vladimir Putin). After a jailed

American political dissident in Russia commits suicide, Claire Underwood throws caution aside and does the

“right thing,” denouncing the authoritarianism of the Russian state in a press conference. The irony of a FirstLady of a country (like America) whose policy is torture and extrajudicial murder denouncing Russia for

authoritarianism is not even considered. Underwood orders the unconstitutional drone murder program,

which is similar to the Obama administration’s drone program. There are no moral considerations on the

show to evaluate the morality of these actions. There is a scene where some try to justify drone strikes to

save American lives, which is a lie.

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

The shows also promotes the cutting of Social Security and Medicare, which is harsh not visionary. In the

original 1990 British television show House of Cards, Francis Urquhart, on whose character Underwood is

based, is ultimately undone both by his own crimes and the social forces he has unleashed. But in the third

season of the American show, there is no consideration of any broader social forces outside of Washington.

The show’s executive producer, Beau Willimon, basically said as much in an interview with Variety magazine, declaring, “All we’re trying to do is tell the story of Frank and Claire Underwood. They happen to be

politicians. Their story of ambition and power hungriness is a story you could have told on Wall Street or in a

law firm or in a lot of different worlds. I don’t think House of Cards is about politics at all.” Yet, we have to

understand broader social and political context in the world. Shows like House of Cards outline the mentality

of the political establishment. The crimes of the super-rich are readily ignored by some. In real life, certain

people in America desire violence in the world for the sake of promoting the “war on terror.” Yet, we want

    progressive action to solve problems.

    Chi-Raq

The movie Chi-Raq has been filled with excitement by many and controversy. People love or hate the movie.

The movie was directed by Spike Lee. It was written by Spike Lee and Kevin Wilmott. The movie to Spike Lee

was a satire in the social life of Chicago. Spike Lee has been praised and criticized of the film and he has

defended his movie in sometimes an angry fashion. The film deals with gang warfare, violence, social

breakdown, poverty, police brutality, political corruption, inequality, etc. These are all serious issues that havethe right to be told. First, an outline of the film should be shown including its strengths and weaknesses. Like

always, the audience has the right to decide how they feel about the film. The film is based on the classical

Greek comedy by Aristophanes called “Lysistrata.” In Aristophanes’ comedy (which was written about 411

B.C.), it showed a story about a group of Athenian and Spartan women who withhold all sexual privileges to

their husbands and lovers in an effort to stop the Peloponnesian War between the two rival Greek city states.

Chi-Raq is the portmanteau of “Chicago" and “Iraq.” I don’t agree with that name since it disrespects people

of Chicago, Chicago is not Iraq, and it was a term used by many people to glamorize violence and murder in

Chicago (as more than 7,000 people have died in Chicago via gun violence since the early 2000s. We know

this is higher than the number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined. This is not higher

than the amount of civilians who died in both countries. So, I want to make that clear). People in Chicago

view that name as outdated too.

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    17/27

He or Spike Lee could have used another title for the movie. The film talked about the situation in Chicago as

an Emergency, which is accurate. Samuel L. Jackson played the fedora wearing Diomedes, who is the narrator

and leader of the chorus. He introduces the audience about the pain, misery, and strife in Chicago. Later, a

hip hop concert comes about. Nick Cannon plays the rap artist Demetrius Dupree. He is the head of the

Spartan gang. He brags that he will kill the members of the revival Trojan gang. A Trojan in the crowd then

shoots at the stage. Many gang members are severely injured in the shooting. Demetrius’ girlfriend isLysistrata (played by Teyonah Parris, who is a talented actress). They make love and then the head of the

Trojans named Cyclops (played by Wesley Snipes) tries to burn the house down. Both escape and exchange

of gunfire with Cyclops occurs. A young girl was shot and killed by gang violence.

Irene is the anguished mother of the girl. Irene is played by Jennifer Hudson. She is consoled by the grieving

crowd including a white priest Father Mike Corridan (played by John Cusack). The Chorridan character is

similar to the priest Michael Pfleger, who is a real life social activist who is working in the African American

neighborhood of Auburn Gresham on Chicago’s Far South Side. The death of Irene’s daughter caused manyyounger women (including Lysistrata) to try to go on a sex strike to end the gang violence in Chicago. Miss

Helen (played by Angela Bassett) counsels the young women. The strike is led by Lysistrata. Then, the young

women take over an armory and seduce a racist general named King Kong (David Kelley) and his troops.

They then lock themselves up in an effort to deny all men “access or entry.” Chicago police arrive on the

scene and act largely as neutral bystanders to this battle of the sexes. The women’s sex strike spreads

worldwide, sexually frustrating male partners everywhere. The film shows rallies and protests from activists.

Signs that want to end the violence exist too. Overall, the film is not a documentary. It is a satire. The film’s

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    18/27

location is in Englewood or the Southwest Side of Chicago. This neighborhood has a poor working class

people. It has an official unemployment rate of 21.3 percent and a per capital income of $11,993, with 42.2

percent living below the poverty level and nearly 30 percent without a high school diploma. Chicago is also

home to more than 106,800 millionaires, 804 multi-millionaires and 15 billionaires.

So, we see that economic inequality is one serious issue in Chicago along with violence, police brutality,

racism, sexism, etc. The strengths of the film are that it shows the seriousness of violence and police brutality

in Chicago. It shows rallies and concerned people who want change. Also, it deals with families of the victims

of gun violence too. There are many weaknesses of the film. One is that it heavily immunizes the impact of

gentrification, economic exploitation, school closures, the War on Drugs, and other forces (not the people of

Chicago) that contribute to the problems in Chicago. Many scenes of the film are overtly misogynistic in

claiming that women seducing men will somehow change society. Women are entitled to their own bodies.

Women in the film are placed as sex props as a way to try to address issues. There are many external factors

that contribute to the problems in Chicago, and other cities in America. There is another issue in the film too.

The film seems to see that the problem in Chicago is fueled by black on black violence primarily not on

social inequality and the system of oppression (which is the origin of the oppression in the first place). Spike

Lee has admitted that this (or the talk about intraracial violence) is what he wanted his film to be like. He

told the Los Angeles Times, for example: “I would be less of a person if I’m out there on the streets talking

about the cops and private citizens who killed our people and then remain mum about us killing ourselves.”

To Deadline Hollywood, Lee commented that the problem in neighborhoods in major cities like Chicago was

basically “self-inflicted genocide.” He went on, “There’s a situation in America where young black men are

killing young black men at alarming rates and Chicago, or Chiraq, is really like the poster boy for this.”

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

The truth is that black people have exposed intraracial violence in rallies, protests, programs, etc. for years

and decades in Chicago including throughout the Earth. Crime is mostly intraracial in America and black

people don’t have some genetic predisposition for violent crime at all. He or Spike Lee is an ally of the

Democratic administration and he views gun control as a solution to violence. Yet, the film allows American

capitalism (the source of the social misery, violence, alienation, etc.) to be taken off the hook entirely. If Spike

was to expose capitalism, then he would be massively criticized by the establishment and that’s a fact.Chicago has a political crisis with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (and the police institution) covering up

police killings. There is violence and systematic police brutality in Chicago. There should be revolutionary

solutions to solve problems. There is an attack on the living conditions of the poor and the working class by

the ruling class (not by all black people) and their political representatives. Far too often (some people like

many white and even some black people) want to exploit the pain of the poor for profit as spoken about by

the rapper Rhymefest (who is from Chicago). Therefore, the film Chi-Raq in my opinion is filled with

strengths and weaknesses. It is up to you to watch it or not. You have the choice. I’m a fan of many Spike Lee

films like Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing, and Clockers. At the end of the day, we not just want peace in

Chicago. We want justice too. There can be no peace without justice and that’s a fact.

"I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I'm a human

    Stereotypes in the Industry

There can be no true discussion about Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general without

discussing about evil racial stereotypes. The big myth is that Hollywood is just a liberal, progressive place.

Since its inception, Hollywood has been full of evil racism. Even the recently revealed Sony emails in 2015

proved that racism has not been totally extinguished in Hollywood. We can see the Birth of a Nation movie,

which slandered the black community. That film was created by D. W. Griffith. In the movie, black men have

been portrayed collectively as violent, rapists, and disrupters of society. The film was so racist that the

NAACP organized protests against it. Gone with the Wind portrayed the Southern Confederacy as a just a

gentile, wholesome place, which has been invaded by “Yankees” when that isn’t the case at all. The truth isthat the Confederacy was a tyrannical place. It invaded Fort Sumter and the Confederacy oppressed black

people in horrendously unjust ways. Even though Hatti McDaniel was in Gone with the Wind and she was

not perfect, but she has given aid to the poor and to tons of other people. She raised funds for Red Cross

relief programs for Americans who have been displaced by devastating floods. The “Mammy” stereotype as

promoted by the system of white supremacy was not about giving respect to black women who worked as

domestic workers. That stereotype was about to denigrate black women and promote the lie that black

women must be domestic workers under white people in order to show their true dignity in the world. Yet,

black women have every right to be in a diversity of occupations as human beings. We know that Arabic and

Jewish stereotypes have been in Hollywood too.

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    21/27

Many of these stereotypes try to portray both ethnic groups in the most negative light from being called

“terrorists” to “economic exploiters.” The gangster Italian stereotype has been so bad during one time thatItalian-Americans groups stood up and condemned them. Yet, the anti-black stereotypes in Hollywood have

been the most pernicious and hurtful in the entertainment industry. The 1987 movie Hollywood Shuffle was

genius in outlining many of the anti-black stereotypes that has been advanced by the modern entertainment

industry for decades. Robert Townsend directed the movie and the movie was ahead of its time. The film

wanted to refute the lie that a black person has to degrade himself or herself in order to express true human

expression. Black people have every right to show progressive images about our lives. Robert Townsend

would go on to promote a lot of positive shows and movies like the Parent Hood, etc. To this very day in

2015, black people are portrayed by the system of white supremacy as criminals, submissive people, sexual

perverts, pimps, hustlers, etc. So, we have the right to condemn these stereotypes, fight oppression, stand up

for our people, be filled with integrity, and live our lives in a progressive way. We see commercials today

portraying black people as buffoonish, ignorant, irrational, and submissive. Back in 2010, commercials fromLexus, Pampers, State Farm, Burger King, etc. portray black people in a bad light. We know that many reality

TV shows have shown some of the evil, sick stereotypes against black people in the 21st century. I don’t have

to mention their names. We know the names of these reality TV shows (not only are the corporate owners of

these shows to be blamed. Many folks on those shows, who consciously degrade themselves, are to be

blamed to for their actions too). That is why Black Love and Black Family are so important to advance in

our community. The Knowledge of Self, love of blackness, and Black Unity are concepts that are

honorable. We know that Hollywood has intensive links to the Pentagon (which has supported by the

murder of so many people overseas for decades via drone attacks, various wars, etc.). “ Operation

Hollywood: How the Pentagon shapes and censors the movies” by David L. Robb, a former journalist

for Daily Variety  and the Hollywood Reporter , documents how the military has close ties to Hollywood in

    great detail.

In America, we as black people are the most forgiving people in the nation in my view (and of the world in

my opinion). Our people suffered centuries of oppression. We have a deep moral sense of compassion and

forgiveness naturally. That is why some of our people are too eager to forgive. Yes, it is true that we can

never be naïve. If someone mistreats our people or slanders our people, then we should not support that

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    22/27

person economically or otherwise. The article from Gus Renegade used excellent examples that showed the

truth that we can never bow before our oppressors. Our oppressors don’t need forgiveness from us since we

have done nothing to them and we didn’t originate our oppression. We need the end of the system of white

supremacy instead, so a system of justice can be established. The problems that we face are rooted in the

racist, classist, and sexist system (which is ruled by white supremacists). Someone, who is black can love a

person and accept forgiveness from another white person all that they want naively (people have right toforgive people or not), but if that black person lacks the power to determine his or her own destiny

(independently), then nothing tangible changes in society in a revolutionary fashion. Therefore, we have the

responsibility to wake more black people up since we know things that many folks don’t. The Creator is

merciful and the Creator has blessed us with understanding about oppression, the system of white

supremacy, politics, economics, and a wide range of other important issues. A white racist saying “I’m sorry”

never erases the hurt and the pain caused by their treachery and evil actions at all. Certainly, we are not

obsessed with white people (in a self-hating fashion). It is that many white racist folks are obsessed with us.

Our thoughts, our actions, and our speech must exist in the realm of uplifting, assisting, inspiring, and

respecting black people. It must be reiterated that we don't hate anyone of any color. Hating someone

because of their skin color is wrong. No one of any background suffer experience abuse, mistreatment, or

unfair discrimination. What we hate is racism, oppression, imperialism, and any other injustice. We want thewhole human race to have freedom and justice. We love truth, dignity, wisdom, and justice. There is nothing

wrong with Black Unity and empowering ourselves (in rejecting mental colonization, so we can have true

human liberation). A self-determined spirit, helping our people, and keeping our eyes on the prize are

important things for us to embrace.

Yes, Hollywood back then and today is very racist. There are many people who are fighting back against

these evil stereotypes all of the time. We should always improve ourselves, love Nature, and work in our

communities. To combat racial stereotypes, we have to tell our stories. Our stories are just as valuable as any

other story. We have to be active and support groups who are making solutions and we have to find ways to

help the poor. We should defend our culture, our lives, and our humanity in general. We need revolutionary

change in our world not reform.

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

The film “Avengers” Age of Ultron has been very popular this year. It was released first in April 13, 2015 and

all over America on May 1, 2015. Right now, it has sold over 1 billion dollars worldwide making it the highest

selling film in 2015 (Furious 7 is number one). An ensemble cast of actors and actresses are also found in the

film like Robert Downey Jr. Christ Hemsworth, Idris Elbra, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie, Scarlett

Johannson, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Hayley Atwell, and other people. The

synopsis of the movie is that the Avengers must work together to defeat Ultron. Ultron is a mechanical

artificial intelligence who desires to establish human extinction. There are two sequels planned already. One

is called Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 to be released on May 4, 2018. The other sequel is called Avengers:

Infinity War - Part 2, which will be released on May 3, 2019. The movie of Avengers: Age of Ultron starts in

the Eastern European country of Sokovia. The Avengers (who are Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor, Bruce

Banner, Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton) raid a Hydra outpost led by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker. Von

Strucker has been experimenting on human beings with the scepter previously wielded by Loki. Strucker’s

experiments are Pietro (with superhuman speed) and Wando Maximoff (who can manipulate minds and

project energy). They are twins. The Avengers apprehended Strucker while Stark gets Loki’s scepter.

Stark and Banner find an artificial intelligence within the scepter’s gem. They secretly use it to complete

Stark’s Ultron global defense program. Yet, Ultron wants to eradicate humanity to save Earth. He eliminates

Stark’s A.I., J.A.R.V.I.S., and attacks the Avengers at their headquarters. Ultron escapes with the scepter. Ultron

goes to Strucker’s Sokovia base to upgrade his body and build an army of robot drones. He killed Strucker.

The Maximoffs are recruits and he holds Stark responsible for their parents’ deaths by his weapons. Wanda

use haunting visions to try to stop the Avengers. Hulk rampages until Stark stops him with his anti-Hulkarmor. Ultron forms a new body with the help of Dr. Helen Cho. The Avengers receive global backlash.

Romanoff and Banner plan to flee together. The Avengers fight among themselves and Stark secretly

uploads J.A.R.V.I.S. – who is still operational after hiding from Ultron inside the Internet – into the synthetic

body. Thor returns to help activate the body, explaining that the gem on its brow – one of the six Infinity

Stones, the most powerful objects in existence – was part of his vision. Ultron continues with his plan of

global extension by using vibranium, so a machine can be established to crash a large part of the capital city

skyward. In that sense, it can crash into the ground to cause global extinction. Banner rescues Romanoff,

  • 8/20/2019 Popular Culture Part 15

    25/27

who awakens the Hulk for the battle. The Avengers fight Ultron's army while Fury arrives in a Helicarrier with

Maria Hill, James Rhodes, and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to evacuate civilians. Pietro dies when he shields Barton

from gunfire. Wanda wants revenge. She tries to destroy Ultron’s primary body. This caused one of his

drones to activate the machine. The city plummets. Stark and Thor overload the machine and the landmass is

shattered. The Hulk eaves in a Quinjet. Ultrons last remaining body is confronted by the Vision. Fury, Hill,

Cho, and Selvig, run a new base of the Avengers. Thor goes back to Asgard to learn more about the forceshe suspects have manipulated recent events. Stark and Barton leave. Rogers and Romanoff prepare to train

new Avengers named Rhodes, Vision, Sam Wilson, and Wanda. Thanos (who has a gauntlet) promise to get

    the Infinity Stones.

There are tons of esoteric symbolism and other points that must be discussed about this movie. The movie

deals with the issues of artificial intelligence and transhumanism. The goal of Ultron is very similar to the

extremists in real life who want a radical decline in the global population (when the global population

percentage wise is not increasing in radical levels). In the film, Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson)

explicitly references the real life U.S. and Nazi experimentation on humans and the Nazi importation into

Allied nations after WWII. We know that Peter Thiel (of the Bilderberg Group) advocates transhumanism and

mass micro-chipping. Wanda and Pietro are twins produced by Hydra. These are genetically modified twins.

It is interesting that the site is found in Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe is the location of real life of numerous

CIA “black sites” and mind control operations, which existed from WWII and the Cold War. MKULTRA also isa real mind control program established by the CIA. Allied and Axis Powers engaged in mind control

experiments. MKULTRA evolved into MKSEARCH (which dealt with implantable chips and electronic control

of motor functions). Today, we have DARPA, which is a super advanced system, which inspired the creation

of the Internet. Even the 1997 Army War College report, which is declassified, promotes chipping, tracking,

and tracing human beings. Ultron perfectly mirrors the NSA’s infamous PROMIS backdoor technology, which

is reportedly able to be a ubiquitous electronic skeleton key. PROMIS is a huge database. In the film, Ultron

seeks godhood, but fails. Ironically, Ultron talks about being the new god of the new aeon, the new

resurrection, etc. In esoteric teachings, the perfection of man must be embraced. The new base is inside of

the ruins of an old Orthodox Church. As we proceed in the 21st century, we see how the ancients did in fact

use mathematical principles in their architecture. Also, one of the secrets of nature is that Nature in part is

based on many laws, mathematical influences, and has profound creativity. NSA whistleblower WilliamBinney admitted that NSA has extensive data collecting and backdoor technology.

    Final Thoughts on Popular Culture

We should know about the past and we want to go into a better future. There is no way to go into a better

future unless we understand the past and the present. We have to witness where we are now (which is filledwith good news and bad news). We have to comprehend the fact that we have a long way to go, but we

can’t lose intrepid hope. Everyone should do their own research. When we do our own research, we can find

the truth in a more thorough fashion and we can establish even more connections as it pertains to important

issues. We know that there is evil in the world and we have to fight. Evil can only be defeated by good. We

believe in goodness and we want humanity to have justice. I am inspired by our heroes and I’m inspired by

the truth too. Wisdom is important to be advanced and we will never be intimidated by the status quo. So,

we know that imperialism is wrong. We know that economic exploitation is evil, we realize that misogyny

including xenophobia are abhorrent, and we want independent solutions to be established in the globe.
