Poppy Industry Forums “Transitioning to the Future” Poppy Growers Tasmania (PGT) in collaboration with SunPharma (Sun) and Tasmanian Alkaloids (TasAlk) will be conducting poppy industry forms at the following venues: Place: Scottsdale Football Club, Recreation Ground, George Street, Scottsdale Date: Thursday 3rd August 2017 Time: 1:00 pm start—afternoon tea will be served Place: Rocky Cape Tavern Bass Highway, Rocky Cape Date: Tuesday 8th August 2017 Time: 1:00 pm start—afternoon tea will be served Place: Beachway Motel 1 Heathcote Street, Ulverstone Date: Tuesday 8th August 2017 Time: 6:00 pm start—supper will be served Place: Tasmanian Axeman’s Hall of Fame 1 Bell’s Parade, Latrobe Date: Wednesday 9th August 2017 Time: 1:00 pm start—afternoon tea will be served Place: Riverlands Centre 159 Wellington Street, Longford Date: Wednesday 9th August 2017 Time: 6:00 pm start—supper will be served Place: Castle Hotel, 14 Patrick Street, Bothwell Date: Thursday 10th August 2017 Time: 1:00 pm start—afternoon tea will be served Place: Tunbridge Community Club Main Street, Tunbridge Date: Thursday 10th August 2017 Time: 1:00 pm start—afternoon tea will be served Current growers and intending growers are urged to attend one of these important forums.

No longer will the success of the industry be measured by the number of hectares grown each season, the measure from here on will be, Average Kilograms per Hectare. Those attending will hear from:

At the forum you will be encouraged to ask questions to stimulate discussion. Remember there is no such thing as a “silly question”. If you are a little nervous about asking a question at a public gathering then please feel free to write your question down and place it in the box provided at each forum, no name or identification required. We expect each forum will go for approximately 2.5—3 hours. We look forward to your participation at one of these important forums.
