With great enthusiasm, we present our third issue ofPolytechnic Engineering e-news letter, Polytech Dynamism(December 2016 -May 2017). We had a great year of so manyoutstanding results and activities to decorate St JohnPolytechnic with praise and good name.

In 2016-17 academic year, our students excelled in all thefields that they got opportunity to participate. Third yearElectronics and Telecomm students who participated for DIPEXcompetition held in Pune(17- 20 March 2017) owes a great rolein bringing our college name to the forefront in the state level.

The teaching faculties are so caring and loving towards thestudents that they could excel well in their academics also.MSBTE External Academic Monitoring Committee remarked'Very Good' as a result of our joint strenuous work in thisacademic year.

The entire Polytechnic works as a family to ensure that thestudents will get maximum result from St. John Polytechnic. Wecould fulfill the dreams of the parents and the students whojoined our institution. In future also our institution will be agolden feather among other colleges in MSBTE and a firm corestone for any student who secures an admission in our institute.

Comparative Result Analysis of Institute with MSBTE Results

Sports Activity

1. Diploma Engg. Sports were conducted by the college on 6th & 7th Jan 2017. Sports- Football, Volleyball, Tug Of War, Chess, Carrom, Badminton, Table Tennis, Free Kick etc.

2. Diploma students from EXTC department(SY-EJ ) participated in Badminton sports and won the Bronze Medal in Category Singles & Doubles for Badminton match. The event was held on 27th to 28th of January 2017 at Palghar Sports Club

MSBTE - In ter Engineering Diploma Student's Sports Association (IEDSSA) Activities

1.SY(Mech) students won 2nd Prize in Badminton Sports organised by MSBTE - IDESSA (dated : 19th Jan 2017) held at VIVA Institute of Polytechnic Virar.

2. FY( Civil), SY (Mech) and TY (Mech) students Participated in Football sports organised by MSBTE – IDESSA (dated: 27th Jan 2017) held at Saboo Siddik Institute of Polytechnic Byculla.

3. SY (Mech), TY (Mech), TY (EXTC), TY (Civil) students Participated in Cricket sports organised byMSBTE – IDESSA (dated: 30th Jan 2017) held at Vartak Polytechnic, Vasai.

Cultural & Annual DayCultural activities were conducted on 9th to 12th Jan 2017 - Debate, Drawing, Quiz, Best of WasteCompetitions etc. Annual day was held on 13th Feb. 2017.

MSBTE Approved State Level Project Competition Organized on 25th & 26th Jan 2017 at St. John Polytechnic Palghar

Industrial Visits

1. Students of Second Year Mechanical Engineering visited State Transport (ST) Workshop,Palghar on 07 February 2017.

2. Industrial visit for First year mechanical is scheduled on 18 February 2017 at Vinod cookware Palghar. 3. Students of First Year Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering would have been visited Amul Dairy, Vaitarna on 22nd February 2017.

1. Conducted Industrial Expert lecture on Automobile Engineering by Mr. A.H.Gambhire (HeadChassis Department MSRTC Palghar) for SY(Mechanical) on 7th February2017.

2. Academic Expert lecture on “Embedded System & Its Application” was conducted by Mr. R. D.Moon, Govt. Polyechnic, Vikramgad for the students of TY EJ & SY EJ on 14/02/17.

3. Academic Expert lecture on “Overall Personality Development” by Mr. Ranjeet Puyed for thestudents of FY EJ & SYEJ is scheduled on 20th Feb. 2017.

FRATERNITY OF MECHANICAL AND AUTOMOIBILE ENGINEERS – FORMULA KART DESIGN

CHALLENGE 2017 (FMAE- FKDC -2017) -National Level Racing Event held at Meco Kartopia,

Bangalore. Overall Rank was Third. Team Stood Second in Final Endurance Race & Fuel Economy

Second in Skid Pad Test.
