Stealing in Dwellings, from the

Person, &c. On the 27th ult., from the Exchange Hotel, Fre­

mantle,—three door keys, two common and one Chubb's, the property of George Seubert; identifiable. Edward Holmes, exp., late 5549, and Eidsdale, exp., late 7836, strongly suspected.—C.I, 90.

On or about the 20th ult., from John Gallagher's residence, Molloy's yard, Murray Street, Perth,— American axe, three or four pairs boots, Crimean shirt, pair dark tweed trousers, three quart and one pint pannicans, pair jjincers, shoemaker's knife, and Icwt. leather, the property of John Gallagher. James Jones, exp,, late 9482, and John Jackson, exp., late 9472, alias Tasker, suspected,—C.I. 91.

At the Greenough Police Court, on the 25th ult., liefore E. H. Laurence, R.M. and Coroner, on the body of John Mew, exp., late 6926, who was found dead on the sea beach, at Greenough, on 24th ult. Verdict—" Died from disease of the heart, probably accelerated by going into the water."

WILLIAM EICHAEDSON, (seaman); charged at Fremantle, on 24th ulto., with deserting from the schooner " Clarence Packet " on 22nd ulto. 4 weeks im]irisonment.

At Dongarra Police Court, on 26th ult, before E. H. -Laurence, E.M. and Coroner, on the body of Bingiora, ab. nat., who was shot dead by P.C. Mori­arty, on the 7th ult., at Yangarla, Irwin Eiver. Verdict—" Bingiora met his death by a bullet wound at the hands of P.C. Moriarty, and that P.C. Moriarty was quite justified in firing the fatal shot, and that no blame, whatever, is attached to him, but deserves great credit for the manner in which he acted in the matter."

A bottle was picked up on the sea beach between Albany and Cape Riche, South East Coast, contain­ing the following memo. " The 21-1-1879. Steamer 'Aconcagua,' John Lewis Werner, passenger, near Australia; all is well."

Stout, broad shoulders, 35 years of age, Sft. 7|in. high, dark brown hair, bald, light hazel eyes, long: visage, fair complexion, anchor and J right arm, sailor and mermaid left arm, has a spot size of half a crown on left side of head void of hair, walks with a quick short step, turns right foot outward ; supposed to have gone to South Australia with Bernard Stein.
