When fitting a pair of fog lamps you should obey the following legal requirements:

Fog lamps should be positioned symmetrically and in pairs; the same height from the road and the same distancefrom the sides of the vehicle.

The lamps should be fitted so that the outer edges are no more than400mm from the outer edge of the car. Maximum height above ground1200mm.

Fog lamps should never be used unless visibility is seriously reduced.

You should not DAZZLE any other road user.

Mounting the LampsThe lamps are designed for mounting below the bumper, valance or grille and must be fitted with the bracket uppermost. Always have Top facing uppermost.Check any chosen position carefully to ensure it does not foul any piping or wiring.Ensure that the lamp is mounted rigidly and does not vibrate. A 7mm hole should be drilled for the mounting bolts.
