• Is a technique of painting in which a lot of tiny dots are combined to form a picture.

• Usually done in oil paint because it is thick and does not bleed or run.

Why pointillism was done?

•When two colors are right next to each other your eye mixes them in a process called, "optical mixing.” This creates a brighter picture.

•Your eyes are performing a trick.
