Since 1975, Hong Kong Kinlong Construction Hardware(Group)Co. Ltd., has been an innovative and
professional company engaged in research, development and manufacture of fittings for point-fixed glass facades
and hardware for doors and windows. The company supplies fittings of best quality and provides consulting services
to the facade industry.

by HongKong Kinlong personnel at all levels in the company, in the continuous quest for constant technology
development, higher product quality, and better customer services. Today, the company has becoming prominent
and the largest supplier of fittings for point-fixed glass facades in the world.
Hongkong Kinlong has a factory of 130,000sq.m.with a construction area of 45,000sq.m.in DongGuan,
GuangDong, China. The company has more than 40 sales offices all over China, with headquarter located in
DongGuan and regional offices in Beijing and Shanghai. The company supplies fittings to more than 50% of the point-
fixed glass facade market in China in 2005. Point-fixed fittings are also exported to European, American and other
Asian countries. The total number of employees of the company exceeds 1200 in 2005.

The most transparent support system for a glass wall is the cable net system which is a typical flexible
stucture.For such support system,cables are always under appropriate tension to maintain the form of the
glass wall and the structure to be safe.Tensile forces in the cables are always affected by parameters like
the initial tension in the cables when the glass wall is erected,the temperature change of the environment,
and progressive creep in mateials under forces.It would be difficult to maintain cable tensile forces within
limits for a prolonged period without checking tension in the cable regularly.Hence,it would be desirable to
have a cable tension monitor system to constanly monitor tensile forces in the cables,and alert the concerned
party to take appropriate action when the tensile force in the cable is outside the designed range.

If a cable monitor system is used of a cable net system,the proper selection of cable monitors is
important to the success of the system. Cable monitors should be installed ideally for all major load
bearing cables,and selectively for minor or secondary load bearing cables provided safety is assured
with the chosen scheme.

Cable tension overload protection device and cable tension assurance device are
designed for glass walls supported by cable net systems.
when the tension in the cables of a cable net system exceeds the design load, the
safety rod of the cable tension overload protection device will break,and the sping will
take over to ensure that cable tension will not exceed the designed value. Hance,
thecable net system and the glass wall will be maintained intact and secured.
