Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, Inc. Application for Membership - Procedure & Requirements 1. All new member applicants must be sponsored by an existing member that has been a member of the club for a (1) year or more. A new member applicant may participate in shooting events as a guest of the club and pay the member fees for the event during the 30 day waiting period. 2. In the event that prospective applicants do not have a Sponsor and has not submitted an application for membership, they may visit the club when weekly shooting events are being conducted to make an introduction and seek a Sponsor. If they participate in a shooting event, prior to submitting an application for membership, they shall be assessed the guest fee rate. 3. All new member applicants must present a copy of a valid FID Card or a valid LTC issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 4. All new member applicants must provide a copy of their Basic Firearms Safety Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts attached to their application. 5. A" new member applicants and their Sponsors must be present at the monthly meeting that their application is to be announced. If both parties are not present, the application will be held until both parties are present at a regular monthly meeting. 6. A" new member applicants will be required to complete (2) mandatory range orientations in the month their application was announced. The new member applicants will be required to bring an appropriate firearm with ammunition and safety equipment to complete the Indoor range portion of the orientation. If the range orientations are not completed before the next monthly meeting the application will be held until both orientations are completed. 7. All new member applicants will have their applications voted on at the following monthly meeting and will be notified by mail if the board members have accepted them into the club or not. Applicants will not be allowed to attend the meeting at which their application is being voted upon for membership. 8. If an applicant is accepted as a new member of the club, he/she will be issued a membership packet and a key to the property. If an applicant is not accepted to be a new member of the club, he/she will receive a full refund of fees paid and will not be allowed to reapply for membership for a period of (1) year. 9. All sponsors of new member applicants will be kept informed of the new members' conduct at the club for a period of (6) month. If the new member receives a written complaint during the (6) month probationary period, both the new member and the new member's Sponsor will be' required to appear before a ConducWiolations Hearing before the Officers of the Executive Board to review the complaint. NOTE: If any part of this procedure cannot be complied with, the applicant must contact the Club's Executive Board prior to the meeting that the application is being presented.

Application for Membership - Procedure & Requirements

Membership requirements and feesAll Regular Membership and Spousal Membership applicants must have a valid LTC (pistol permit) or FIDcard in order to be considered for membership. Applicants are also required to have an existing clubmember as their Sponsor prior to the meeting at which their application is proposed for membership.There is a 30 day waiting period between the time an applicant's membership application is read before theExecutive Board and the time it is to be voted upon. During this waiting period, the applicant will be required toattend two mandatory orientations. Failure to attend the orientations will result in a delay upon which theapplication may be voted upon.All club members are requested to devote yeany work hours to the club. Current club members are requested togive two (2) hours of their time during the year. New members are requested to give four (4) hours of their timeduring their first year with the club and two (2) hours thereafter.

Dues and Initiation fees: Fees are to be paid when submitting the application. Annual dues are $125. The one-time Initiation Fee for joining the club is $250 for a Regular Member. There is no Initiation Fee for spouses orjunior members. The fee for Active Military members is $6 dues plus the one time initiation fee - upon active dutyseparation, dues are at regular member fees. There are no discounts for Reserve or National Guard unlessdeployed to a combat area.

Regular Membership: $250 Initiation fee plus $125 annual dues ($375 total). When applying, you must appearin person with your Sponsor at the Monthly Executive Board meeting held at the lower clubhouse at7:30PM the first Monday of the month, unless it falls on a holiday in which case it will be the followingMonday.

Spousal members: $30 annual dues. No initiation fee. Must appear before the Executive Board with aSponsor. Must attend mandatory orientations.

Junior members: $6 until their 19th birthday. No initiation fee. Not required to attend the mandatory orientations.Is not required to appear before the Executive Board. If the Junior Member goes on to continuing education(excluding graduate studies), membership will remain $6 with proof of the continuing education.

Applying after July 1st: The Annual Dues drops to $62.50 for the Regular member as half of the year haspassed. ($30 Spouse and $6 junior member annual dues still apply). After October 1st, the $125 Annual Dues feeis applied for the last three months of the year and all of the following year. Initiation fee still applies. Example:Family of three (Husband, wife and junior) apply for membership to the club. Fees will be $250 Initiation Fee, $125Annual Dues for the Regular member and $30 for the spouse and $6 for the junior member totaling $411. Regularmember and spouse only need. to appear at the monthly meeting.

Senior membership: You are considered a Senior member and your annual dues are waived when you havebeen a Regular Member who has maintained their status with the club for a total combined time of 15 years andhas reached the age of 65 or above. There are no Senior Citizen discounts. .

Orientations: Orientations are held the first Saturday of the month following the Monthly Board meeting -Sponsors are not required to attend with their applicants.

The first orientation is the Outdoor Range Orientation. This orientation is held at the Skeet or Upper clubhouse,and consists of a range walk through, explanations of the range rules, and discussion of operating procedures forthe outdoor range. The orientation starts promptly at 9 AM. It lasts about an hour.The second orientation is for the indoor pistol range at the Lower clubhouse and immediately follows theOutdoor orientation and is a live-fire exercise. It begins at 10 A.M. and also lasts about an hour. Any person whois being considered for membership and possesses a LTC (pistol permit) will need to participate in the live-fireportion of the orientation. Please bring a firearm, 10 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection and a target.For those with an FID card, this will be a walk through orientation.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GUN SAFETY

• Treat every gun with respect due a loaded gun.• Watch that muzzle! Carry your gun safely ... keep your safety on until ready to shoot.• Unload guns when not in use. Take down or have actions open. Guns should be carried in cases to shooting

areas.• Be sure barrel is free of obstructions, and that you have ammunition only of the proper size for the

gun you carry.• Be sure of target before you pull trigger.• Never point a gun at anything you do not want to shoot. Avoid all horseplay.• Never climb a tree or fence or jump a ditch with a loaded gun. Never pull a gun toward you

by the muzzle!• Never shoot a bullet at a flat, hard surface or water. At target practice be sure of your backstop.• Store guns and ammunition separately, beyond reach of children.• Avoid alcoholic beverages before or during shooting.
