ORGAN DONATION The Gift of Life

The need for more organ and tissue donors is critical.

Last year 150 people in Michigan died waiting for a

life saving organ transplant. Over 2,600 Michigan-

ders are waiting for an organ transplant currently.

The Elks have taken a position to aid in the worth-

while endeavor to register as many persons as possi-

ble.

Signing the back of your license or the back of your

Elks card is not enough. Signing the donor registry is

the best way to ensure your wish to become a donor

is carried out.

To learn more about organ donation, or to sign up on

the Donor registry, you can go on line to:

giftoflifemichigan.org, call 800-482-4881 Or pick up a form at the Lodge, Please, give the gift of life.

memory. This is a wonderful to honor a person.

Our Elks and friends of the Lodge continue to

support the 365 Banks program. The special

needs children will benefit from their generosity

and do appreciate what the Elks do for them.

Everyone is reminded to pick up a 365 Banks

container in the lobby at the Lodge. Please con-

tinue to be generous and invite your friends and

relatives to help as well. Please note that we
