CYMFED FLAME CONGRESS – 2nd MARCH 2019: The CYMFed Flame Congress takes place on 2nd March 2019, at Wembley Arena. This
great celebration of Catholic faith, in a vibrant atmosphere, full of joy, with content presented in a way which resonates for all young people,
is a successful and well established initiative. This year Jean Vanier, founder of L’Arche, will be giving exclusive video input. Archbishop
Eamon Martin, Primate of All Ireland, will be sharing his experience of the October Synod on Young People, the Faith and Vocational
Discernment. Offering a very different style of input will be the rapper Guvna B, and his wife Emma, who will speak on the issue of stress,
mental health and wellbeing for our young people. A well-known and very vibrant arena speaker, Robert Madu, is flying in from Texas, to
talk on this theme. Using material directly from Adoremus, RISE Theatre will present the powerful drama “Jesus is here” as an introduction to
Adoration, which will be led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols in the presence of almost all the Bishops of England and Wales. Music throughout
the day will be animated by Tim Hughes, composer of “Here I am to worship.” Kindly consider attending the Congress with the young
people. Tickets can be booked directly on the CYMFed website, www.cymfed.org.uk/flame 2019.
RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or Ordo
Initiationis Christianae Adultorum (OICA) is a process in the
Catholic Church for prospective ADULT converts to Catholicism.
For RCIA Candidates, it is a period of reflection, prayer, instruction,
discernment, and formation. Those who enter the process are
expected to begin attending Holy Mass on a Sunday, attend a
weekly RCIA session, and to become increasingly involved in the
activities of their local parish. We are glad to have four candidates
who have come forward to discern their inner call. Kindly pray for
those involved in RCIA PROJECT. Many Thanks!
