10:30 AM Recruitment and Training of Service Plumbers Plumbing service is a dirty job and it can be difficult to find manpower willing and able to work for you. This session will discuss how to find capable employees to supplement those recruited through the JATC. Tom Axtell, Lexington Plumbing
11:00 AM Key Performance Metrics This session will discuss ways to measure your company’s performance using common industry methods like utilization rate and financials. Roundtables will benchmark and discuss ways to measure and improve. Michael Wallenstein, Neptune Plumbing
11:30 AM Sales and Marketing In order to generate new business, sales and marketing strategies are required. This includes lead generation, advertising and website development. This session will discuss those methods as well as how to manage sales personnel. John Geiling, JPG Plumbing

1:30 PM Using Technology to Support Service Delivery Technology is evolving and new solutions are available that can help drive business or improve your offerings. Tools like connected devices, low cost scanners, alternative delivery methods will be shared. Sean McGuire, MCAA
2:00 PM Service Software Options A successful service operation runs on the back of the right service software. This roundtable will discuss the positives and negatives of many of the options available and how contractors are using them more effectively. Rick Moreno, Astro Mechanical
3:00 PM Dispatching, Scheduling and Expediting Manpower Reducing the amount of time on the road not only improves your profits, but it keeps your manpower happier. This session will discuss different ideas on getting people where they need to be in a timely manner and avoiding wasted downtime.
3:30 PM Getting Started in Plumbing Service The final session of the day will be a discussion of actions to take to begin a
plumbing service operation and what pitfalls to avoid in the process.
