The new Rainbow™ 2 ultrafast Ti:Sapphire oscillator offers ultimate performance and reliability in a sealed, package with state-of-the-art output parameters such as sub-6 fs pulse width, over 300 nm spectral bandwidth and output power up to >500 mW.

With Rainbow 2, Spectra-Physics draws upon Femtolasers’ technology developed for the world-renowned Rainbow in addition to its extensive experience in the production of industrial-grade ultrafast laser solutions. Rainbow 2 is an ultrafast few-cycle pulse Ti:Sapphire oscillator using Dispersive Mirror technology.

When paired with the CEP4, Femtolasers’ feed-forward Carrier Envelope Phase (CEP) stabilization, the Rainbow 2 delivers best-in-class CEP performance and is indisputably the oscillator of choice for demanding experiments requiring low-noise and reliable CEP stability.

Rainbow 2 has an optional 1030 nm output to allow direct optical seeding of Yb-based lasers which are typically used in OPCPA chains.

Rainbow 2 can also be synchronized to a reference RF source or to another oscillator with Femtolock™ 2 and yields the lowest jitter levels available from a commercial system.

Extreme ultrafast and CEP performance and user-friendly operation are now available under the banner of one laser system. The Rainbow 2 is the ideal solution for cutting edge ultrafast applications spanning from Ti:Sapphire amplifier, OPCPA seeding and attosecond science to ultrafast spectroscopy and multiphoton imaging.

Applications

• Attosecond science• Ultrafast spectroscopy• Amplifier and OPCPA seeding• Pump-probe measurements• THz spectroscopy and imaging• Optical coherence tomography• Nonlinear optics

FOR THE MOST DEMANDING APPLICATIONS

Rainbow 2 CEP4 is the latest advancement in the generation of Carrier Envelope Phase-stable few-cycle pulses. The combination of the plug and play sub-6 fs ultrafast oscillator with the record-setting CEP4 stabilization provides the utmost performance in all aspects.

Lowest CEP noise, longest phase-continuous operation time and pulses with a truly constant waveform—Rainbow 2 CEP4 is the answer to demanding applications in attoscience.

Performance

CEP4, our unique feed-forward CEP stabilization technology, provides noise cancellation at a higher bandwidth than any feedback-based technology, leading to the best CEP performance commercially available.

Stability and Reproducibility

CEP4 offers a fixed phase relation between consecutive pulses without being affected by the pitfalls of traditional phase-locking techniques.

Even at lowest residual noise, CEP4 is immune to loss-of-lock events and provides continuous stable CEP. This is achieved through a simple and elegant solution rather than an increase in complexity. CEP4 stabilization is decoupled from pulse generation, and both components are the benchmark of their kind.

Rainbow 2 CEP4 is the ideal seed oscillator for CE-Phase stabilized ultrafast amplifiers. The complete Femtopower™ CEP laser system consistently provides outstanding CEP stability in a reliable and user-friendly configuration over the longest period of time.

Rainbow™ 2 CEP4

The compact and robust CEP4 module is attached directly to the sealed laser housing for maximum stability.

The residual out-of-loop CEP noise is limited by measurement noise over the entire frequency range.

CEP4 is immune to lock failures and cycle slips that would result in CEP discontinuities.
