    Key Figures and Characteristics

A key figure is a quantitative piece of information with or

without a unit of measurement, such as lead time or the

number of complaints. In addition to directly measurable

key figures, there are calculated ones, such as sales per

    employee.

    SAP Glossary

Characteristics specify the business environment, such as

customer, material, area of responsibility. They fix the key

figures on the time axis and enable their aggregation.
