PROGRAMBreast cancer surgery and neoadjuvant chemotherapyDr Nicholas Ngui MBBS (Hons, UNSW) FRACS

You will learn about the indications, benefits, surgical options, and evidence behind neoadjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer. The surgical management of patients receiving neoadjuvant therapy, with respect to the breast and axilla will also be discussed.

Dr Ngui is a breast and general surgeon at the Sydney Adventist Hospital with particular expertise in breast cancer oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery. He consults at Northern Surgical Oncology in Wahroonga at the San.

Robotic assisted surgery for gynaecology A/Prof Felix Chan MBBS MRCOG FRANZCOG CGO

This presentation will provide an update in the latest developments of robotic surgery including risks and benefits of robotic surgery for women with gynaecological conditions.

A/Prof Chan is a certified gynaecological oncologist. He performed the first single site robotic hysterectomy in Australia in 2013 and pioneered multiple techniques in robotic gynaecological surgery.

A/Prof Chan specialises in advanced laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal and open surgery for the treatment of gynaecologic malignancies and complex gynaecological problems.

Urinary incontinence in women Dr Vivian Yang FRANZCOG

You will learn about common presentations of urinary incontinence across different age groups including current investigations and management. Developments in medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence will also be discussed.

Dr Yang is a consultant gynaecologist. She has special interests in pelvic floor dysfunction, advanced laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. She is an AMO at Sydney Adventist Hospital along with other public and private hospitals in Sydney.
