AP classes are like sprinting on a treadmillYou cant stop, slow down, take a breakWe cover topics really fast & you have to be able to learn independently. If you lose focus, fall behind, get really sick then you will struggle.Break down the chapters so you tackle a portion of them every day.

Useful resources & study tipsStudy GuidesIf you want one grab it from the front of the room.

Write the following on the white board:Your first & last nameThe book # of your study guideHave you taken an AP class before? When are the AP tests? How are they graded/scored?

Important DetailsAP Exam Monday, May 7thGraded on a 1 5 scale3, 4 & 5 = passing2/3 of your score is the multiple choice section1/3 of your score is the free response questions. No guessing penalty (different than past years)

You can always come back. BUTMark your skips on both the booklet and the answer sheet so you dont get out of order.Youll need to erase your marks for skips so they wont be scanned.FRQsPart IIThere are 2 FRQs on the APYou will have only 50 minutes to answer both of them. This is NOT an essayYou dont need an intro paragraph or a concluding paragraph. The format of the question will give an idea of how many paragraphs needed for set-up. Make it easy for the reader to see your points.DO NOT write your answer in one long, awful paragraph.Write multiple paragraphs.

Make sure youUse only whole sentences. Bullets and phrases dont count!Use concise explanations no sunshine and no long-winded explanations of research.Label sketches/graphs that you draw. If you dont they wont count.Follow the order of the question (answer the 1st part 1st.)Mark up your testRead both prompts CAREFULLY.Think about the problems each presents.Circle the demands/tasks the question asks you to do.Underline the terms you need to define and apply to the problem.Create a simple outlineYou will need to split your time so work it.The big secret is all about theTDAT. = TermIdentify the terms in the prompt and underline them. There may be terms you will need to include that are only implied in the prompt but not actually listed. As you answer the question, underline the term/terms in your writing.Check off each one in the prompt after you have used it.
