Job Description

Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add a full-time PA to their team. The position is a split between the OR and the clinic. The PA will directly support a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon that has a very busy practice. This position handles shoulder & knee (sports), fractures, total joints and general cases. Responsibilities include: providing first assist, running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre and post-H&P’s, injections (small joint, trigger point, and sin-visc), consultation, and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. This position has a light call schedule. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. Previous orthopaedic experience preferred, but will train a new graduate with an orthopaedic rotation. Candidates from the area will be given priority and should have a California license or started the application process! The location is in a beautiful Los Angeles suburb. Base salary is open and depends on experience. Additionally, there is an excellent benefit package. This position is a split of the clinic and OR (surgical first assist). Cases include a high volume of total joints (knee, shoulder and hips), general orthopaedics and fractures. The PA will run a parallel clinic with the Doctor. Responsibilities include: pre and post-operative H&P’s, joint injections, writing scripts, removing casts and pins, consultation and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. Call is minimal and there are no weekends. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified, highly motivated, hard working and work well in a team-oriented environment. The group prefers experience, but will train a new graduate with an orthopaedic rotation and a strong desire for orthopaedics. Also, the group prefers local candidates with ties to the area or to the east coast. Candidates should have a NJ license or be close to receiving it. The location is in the Northern NJ area (20 minutes to the George Washington Bridge) which offers easy access to culture, arts, great restaurants and universities! Base salary: depends on experience, plus bonus plan. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
