Whitby Waste Management By-Law #5795-06

Improper disposal of expired medications and/or sharps (needles and syringes) can

cause a health risk to anyone that may come into contact with them. The Town of Whitby’s

Waste Management By-Law #5795-06 states it is an offence to dispose of these prohibited wastes in regular garbage and is subject to

fines.
