Week One

This week’s excursions and themes/activities have been chosen by the children. MTOP ‐ Collaboration with children (educators are responsive to all children’s strengths, abilities and interests. Please note for children not wanting to participate in the planned activities, a range of other indoor and outdoor activities will be available. Monday 28th June

How to Play Garbage!!!!!!!!! Let’s learn how to play Garbage, the card game and many others. Bring along your own card games and teach your friends.

Tuesday 29th June

Excursion

Comics and Characters We will be walking to the South Australian Art Gallery, where we will be met by one of the Art Galleries’ Comic Artists in Residence. He will show us how to improve our skills in drawing comic characters.

Please be at school by 8.30am.

Wednesday 30th June

Indian Feast Today we will be in the kitchen cooking up a feast to share with your friends. Pappadams, butter chicken and roti.

Thursday 1st July

Mr Maker Try your hand at something wonderful, using wood, nails, glue and assorted recycled materials.

Let’s Recycle Bring along your recyclables and see what we can pull apart and make out of recycled items (old toasters, ph ones, computers, boxes, cardboard, craft bits and pieces etc….

Mexican Fiesta Who doesn’t like taco’s and nachos? We will be cooking up a Fiesta and filling the day in with exciting crafts and painting.

Zone Bowling and Laser Tag Lets have fun bowling and playing laser tag with our friends.

Slimy Science Today’s one for the young scientists who likes to get messy! We’ll make two different slimes, one to take home. We’ll make fluffy stuff out of shaving cream, delicious smelling playdough and more.

Movie Day We are off to Semaphore Park for a play at the park and then we will walk to the Odeon Movie Cinema. Our $7.00 meal deal is available. Please bring the money with you on the day. (the movie/s will be confirmed soon)

Scooter Skate Day–Back by popular demand Bring along your scooter or skateboard and we will enjoy skating from our roof top play area. Remember to bring your helmet and protective gear. (No helmet no skating)

ICA Sports Works Four hours of fun in the nets. Cricket, dodgeball, netball and other fun sport’s games.
