• Heritage Trail• Ball Diamonds• Rec Access Road• Waterless Restroom• Picnic Shelters• Dog Park• Ball Field Irrigation and Water Wheel• Library• Athletic Fields• Public Safety• Hayden House & Summer Kitchen

Current Goals

• Provide activities and facilities to attract a multigenerational user base to engaging programs and facilities.

• Incorporate multi-generational uses for a recreation center at Pleasant Grove

• Provide additional active recreational/fitness based amenities for citizens

• Continue to support and offer traditional and non-traditional recreation activities

• Continue to offer passive recreational opportunities for citizens, preserving nature.

Emphasis on Revenue Generating Projects

Amphitheatre/Pavilion Covered Stage

• Already planned

• Multigenerational

• Lawn seating with handicap accessibility

• Provide a wider variety of cultural arts programs, concerts and other (Fridays @ the Grove)

• Supported with restrooms, drinking fountains, etc.

Swimming Pool

• Already planned

• Multigenerational

• Provides the Swim Team with an in county practice and competition location, as well as a location for public use and lessons

• Indoor Aquatic Center for year-round-use preferred if funding permits (grants)

Expo/Exhibit Building

• Already planned

• Multigenerational

• Provide covered areas for events like Old Farm Day and the Farmers’ Market

• Could also be rented out for outside activities and events

Concession Buildings

• Already planned

• Multigenerational

• Additional buildings convenient to the athletic fields, amphitheatre and public swimming pool

Frisbee/Disc Golf Course

• Multigenerational

• Initial installation is low-cost and suitable for the existing environment at Pleasant Grove

• Revenue from tournaments and competitions

• PDGA – ProfessionalDisc Golf Assoc.

Traditional Athletic Fields

• Already planned

• Multigenerational

• New seasonal sports programs including’ volleyball, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc.

Fitness Track

• A fitness loop with activity stations spaced at intervals throughout

• Revenue generated from competitions

Extreme Sports Park

• Some already planned• Including a skatepark for use with skateboards,

inline skates and BMX bikes• Future possibility includes a rock climbing wall• Revenue generated from competitions

Mountain Bike Trail

• Run parallel to horse and walking trails but designed for bikes

• Run length of Pleasant Grove to facilitate access between areas

• Revenue from races, etc.

• IMBA – Int’l MountainBicycling Association

Community Center

• Already planned• Multigenerational• Great location and could include gymnasium space,

locker rooms, aerobic rooms, free weights, exercise machines, cardiovascular areas, walking track and could be tied into the Indoor Aquatic Center – sharing the facility and extras

• Used for a wide variety of indoor programming such as arts and crafts, dance classes, and other community education programs
