Where To GoGetting serious about play in Paphos…because every child matters.

Anyone with children in Paphos will at some time have wondered what to do with them. They get bored. Where can we take them? Unfortunately we are not blessed currently with a wide range of options. It used to be that one could take them to the park to run off some of that extra energy. Get on the climbing frame, go up and down the slides. However, there are not many parks to take the kids to, and of those that do exist, many of them are old, or have not been created with play and safety at heart. A new play area is desperately needed in the Paphos area.

The New Paphos Play Park is going to change all that! Designed and built by Play Cyprus, the whole idea is to create a safe and challenging play environment for all children in Paphos. Paul Casey, Managing Director of Play Cyprus has conducted over 12 months of research amongst both residents and tourists, “We came to the conclusion that the needs of children were not being satisfied, and so we wanted to help the community here by creating a new Play Park that really catered for kids, their need to play, and equally, their need for safety while playing.”

With many years of experience building play parks in the UK,

Play Cyprus have all the skills and contacts to make the New Paphos Play Park really special. Paul Casey himself was on the Deputy Prime Ministers special commission for play, and as he says, “The park will be designed to fully comply with the new European safety standards relating to children’s playground equipment and safer surfacing. The play units will be from various manufacturers throughout Europe who not only have a reputation for making high quality units but also some of the world’s most fun and challenging play units that allow children to develop their personal, physical and social skills.”

Of course there are many different children with different needs, and so the New Paphos Play Park will be built with this in mind. With special safety surfacing around all the play units, particular care will also be taken to allow for children with special needs and limited mobility. Every child has been thought of.

The New Paphos Play Park will be a unique addition to children’s facilities in Paphos. Fun and exciting for children of all ages and abilities, it will be built within a landscaped area and will offer endless hours of safe, challenging and stimulating play for all residents and tourists, no matter how many times they visit.

Built By The Community...For The Community

The magazine that you are reading is in fact part of the plan to help bring the New Paphos Play Park to life. All profits from Play & Leisure Magazine will go directly towards the construction costs of this eagerly awaited and much needed play space for our children.

Local companies, organisations, schools and individuals are also invited to help with the park by the sponsoring of a new play unit. Whether it be a slide, a roundabout, a large unit or small, every little bit of help counts, so please get in touch and help us bring this grand plan to fruition.
