PLASTIC POLLUTION FREE TAMIL NADU CAMPAIGN

To make Tamil Nadu free from plastic pollution and ensure a better quality of life for us.

TNPCB DIRECTIONSTO THE MULTI LAYERED PLASTICS/PRODUCTS (MLP’s)

TNPCB issued the following directions to the Multilayered plastics/products (list enclosed) to be

complied by the unit within a month.

1. All the producers/brand owners shall apply and obtain registration from

CPCB/SPCB as per Rule 13(2) of Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 as

amended in 2018 within a month and copy of the same shall be submitted to the

TNPCB.

2. The details of suppliers / sellers to whom Multi layered plastics /products are

channelized shall be furnished to TNPCB.

3. The Manufacturers / sellers of Multi layered plastics /products shall coordinate

with UNDP to work out EPR in line with the proposed integrated model for the

state of Tamil Nadu.

4. All manufacturers / sellers of Multi layered plastics /products shall not market their

products in the state of Tamil Nadu till the compliance of the above said

Directions.
