PlantPRO Budget Pricing Tool V2.0 Accessing PlantPRO Budget Pricing Tool

In a web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) enter the web address http://quote.plantpro.com.au/ Enter username and password on the log in screen and click 'log in'. For first time users, register an account using the 'Not Registered… Sign Up' hyperlink. The new user will be prompted to enter details such as name, company, address and designation before an application is provided to admin for approval.

Recent Quotes Upon log in, the user will be directed to a list of previously completed PlantPRO quotes.

The following information will be displayed for each existing quote:

• Proposal number • Date created • Project name • Customer name • Site name • Address details • Quote creator details • Total cost

The user can search through previously created quotes by using the available search function.

To review or edit a previously created quote, select the intended quote and click 'next'.

New Quotes New quotes can be created by clicking the 'Create a New Customer' hyperlink toward the bottom of the page to register the project.

The user will be instructed to enter potential customer information such as company name, site name, address and a project description.

The user must select the appropriate pricing to use for the quote; list price, distributor buy price or integrator buy price. This selection will vary the pricing structure used throughout the PlantPRO pricing tool. Click 'Select' on the recently created quote and then click 'Next' to proceed through pricing wizard.

Pricing Wizard Welcome Page The user will be directed to the welcome screen, by clicking next the user will be guided through a series of screens requesting information on several aspects of plant configuration, sensor requirements and labour estimates. Once completed by the user, a full quote will be made available for download

On the quote set up page, the user must select the appropriate options, PlantPRO requirements, base hardware selection, currency and number of cooling/heating units to be included in the quote.

Project Options

The scope of the project must be specified in this field. The PlantPRO budget quote tool will compute the pricing based on the scope you specify at this step.

The following project options are available for selection:

• Supply Only A budget quote will be created for the supply of PlantPRO equipment and software. No allowances will be made for installation of PlantPRO equipment or sensor pocket installation. When this option is selected, PlantPRO equipment installation and sensor pocket installation may not be selected.

• Equipment Installation A budget quote will be created for the supply of PlantPRO equipment and software, as well as allowances for the installation of PlantPRO equipment. This option may be selected in conjunction with sensor pocket installation if required.

• Sensor Pocket Installation This option is available as an add on to the PlantPRO equipment installation option. Provisions will be made in the quote for the installation of sensor pockets required by PlantPRO. If sensors are already installed, or pockets are already available, do not select this option.

PlantPRO Operational Requirements

The user must select the function that PlantPRO will provide in this step. The following two options are available for selection:

• Measurement and Verification Only A budget quote will be created for a PlantPRO measurement and verification only project. No PlantPRO control or optimisation options will be added.

• Measurement, Verification and Control A budget quote will be created for a PlantPRO measurement, verification and control project. All options for PlantPRO control and optimisation will be available for selection.

PlantPRO Base Hardware

One of the following options must be selected as the PlantPRO base hardware to begin with:

• PlantPRO System Manager Panel This is a complete panel (800mmx 600mm) prewired and setup with PlantPRO Master Controller (PP-MSTR), 2 IO boards, Modbus TCP gateway, circuit breakers and terminal strips, ready for installation. More details on the PlantPRO System Manager Panel can be found in the PlantPRO Installation Manual. This option will add 1 x PPSM-10 PlantPRO system manager panel to the quote and compute quote requirements using this panel as a base.

• PlantPRO Master Module Panel This is a complete panel (600mm x 600mm) prewired and setup with PlantPRO Master Controller (PP-MSTR), Modbus gateway and circuit breakers, ready for installation. More details on the PlantPRO Master Module Panel can be found in the PlantPRO Installation Manual. This option will add 1 x PPSM-MSTR PlantPRO master controller module panel to the quote and compute quote requirement using this panel as a base.

• PlantPRO Master Controller This option selects only the PlantPRO Master controller (PP-MSTR) to be provided, by selecting this option a power supply, the required communication devices and any IO

boards must be added into the budget quote at a later point in time. This option will add 1 x PP-MSTR PlantPRO Master Controller to the quote and compute quote requirements using this as a base. The PlantPRO Master Controller is preloaded with Windows XPe and Niagara AX SoftJACE and PlantPRO application prior to shipment.

Option no longer applicable.

• (PlantPRO Master Controller OEM This is the PlantPRO Master controller (PP-MSTR) in an OEM branding. By selecting this option, the budget tool does not try to estimate any requirement. It assumes the user will manually select all the parts required.)

• (PlantPRO Licences Only Selecting this option adds only the PlantPRO licences to the budget quote. Essential hardware to run PlantPRO and Niagara AX SoftJACE will not be included as part of the budget quote.) Option no longer applicable.

Currency

The user must select the appropriate currency to be used in the budget quote via the 'Select Currency' drop down box.

Number of Units

The user must select the number of heating or cooling units / machines that will be controlled and/or monitored within PlantPRO; this includes chillers, heat pumps and mixed production units. The PlantPRO budget quote tool will compute quote requirements based on your selection of the number of units.

To continue to the next step of the wizard, click 'Continue'.

Heating/Cooling Unit Table On the heating/cooling unit table, the user must specify heating/cooling unit information.

The user must configure parameters for each unit specified. PlantPRO budget quote tool will add sensors/components to the quote for each unit according to the information specified on this page.

The information required for each unit is as follows:

• Primary heat rejection - Is the unit air cooled or water cooled? • Unit Type (Unit Configuration) - Specify the type of unit that is required in the plant. This may be

chiller, heat pump, heat recovery or 4 pipe. • Flow metering for each vessel (Evaporator, Condenser, Recovery, Auxiliary) - The user must select

which flow monitoring device is required for each vessel. The PlantPRO budget pricing tool allows for the selction of either a flow meter or differential pressure sensor. The options are as follows:

o Flow meter (Paddle wheel) - This option will add 1 x Flow meter, Paddle wheel, 4-20mA, 1.5" to 10" (U001-0022) to the quote for each vessel selected

o Flow meter (Ultrasonic) - This option will add 1 x Flow meter, Ultrasonic with probes to the quote for each vessel selected

o Flow meter (MagFlow) - This option will add 1 x Flow meter, MagFlow with probes to the quote for each vessel selected

o DP sensor (0-345kPa/0-50PSI) - This option will add 1 x Water Differential Pressure (PW2LX03) to the quote for each vessel selected

o DP sensor (0-689kPa/0-100PSI) - This option will add 1 x Water Differential Pressure (PW2LX04) to the quote for each vessel selected

o DP sensor (0-1724kPa/0-250PSI) - This option will add 1 x Water Differential Pressure (PW2LX05) to the quote for each vessel selected

• Number of refrigeration circuits per unit - Select the number of refrigerant circuits for each unit. If 'unit interface' is selected in the 'Panel Protocol' drop down the relevant refrigerant pressure sensors required to measure suction and discharge pressure for each refrigerant loop will be added to the quote.

• Number of compressors per unit - Select the number of compressors for each unit. If 'unit interface' is selected in the 'Panel Protocol' drop down the relevant refrigerant pressure sensors required to measure suction and discharge pressure for each refrigerant loop will be added to the quote.

• Communication protocol of unit - The user must specify the communication method that will be used to communicate to each unit. The following options are available:

o BACnet - This option will assume that all chilled water and condenser water (if applicable) temperatures, refrigerant pressures, unit start/stop and fault signals will be received by PlantPRO via BACnet. This option will add 1 x Licence BACnet Client DR-BACNET-AX to the quote

o Unit Interface - This option will assume that all communication with unit will occur through the use of a PlantPRO chiller interface module panel (CIM). This module will include the required IO boards to receive the required information from each unit. Depending on the unit configuration one of the following panels will be added per unit

CIM1 - Panel Unit Interface 1 (1 circuit basic WC Unit / Heat

Pump) with 1 PlantPRO-IO30 CIM2 - Panel Unit Interface 2 (1 circuit advanced WC Unit /

Heat Pump) with 2 PlantPRO-IO30 CIM3 - Panel Unit Interface 3 (2 circuit WC Unit / Heat Pump)

with 2 PlantPRO-IO30 CIM4 - Panel Unit Interface 4 (1 circuit basic AC Unit / Heat

Pump) with 1 PlantPRO-IO30 CIM5 - Panel Unit Interface 5 (2 circuit basic AC Unit / Heat

Pump) with 2 PlantPRO-IO30 o Modbus - This option will assume that all chilled water and condenser water (if applicable)

temperatures, refrigerant pressures, unit start/stop and fault signals will be received by PlantPRO via Modbus.

o W3000 Modbus - This option will assume that all chilled water and condenser water (if applicable) temperatures, refrigerant pressures, unit start/stop and fault signals will be received by PlantPRO via a Modbus W3000 controller.

o LonWorks - This option will assume that all chilled water and condenser water (if applicable) temperatures, refrigerant pressures, unit start/stop and fault signals will be received by PlantPRO via LON. This option will add 1 x Licence LON over IP to the quote

o Trane Comm4 o McQuay o York o Carrier CCN o PowerPax o Smardt o Axima

• Precision External Consumed Energy Meter - This option will add 1 x Energy Meter, DIN, Modbus, (E50C2A) and 3 x CT, Rope, 1%, (U018-0001) for each selected chiller.

Once all required information is added to this table, click 'next' to proceed.

Heat Rejection The user must configure the primary heat rejection type and associated pumps (if applicable). If only air cooled chillers/ air source heat pumps are to be quoted click 'Next'. If the plant has cooling towers/dry coolers, select this option from the dropdown list. The user must then select one of the following two cooling tower – unit relationships

• Select '1 to 1' if 1 cooling tower is connected to 1 chiller. This refers to a dedicated cooling tower to chiller relationship.

• Select '1 to Any' if any number of cooling towers are connected to a chiller. This refers to a headered cooling tower to chiller relationship.

If a field communication (BACNet / Modbus / Niagara Network etc.) available between PlantPRO and cooling tower VSDs/ BMS, tick the 'Is Cooling Tower Control Over High Level Interface' checkbox. If this checkbox is left unticked either 1 x CTIM1 - Panel Cooling Tower Interface 1 (adds 2 Cooling Towers to configuration) with 1 PlantPRO-IO30 or 1 x CTIM 2 - Panel Cooling Tower Interface 2 (adds 4 Cooling Towers to configuration) with 2 PlantPRO-IO30 will be added to the quote.

If the plant utilises ground source heat rejection, select this option from the drop down list.

Condenser / Source Water Pump Relationship

• Select '1 to 1' if 1 condenser/source pump is connected to 1 chiller. This refers to a dedicated pump to chiller relationship.

• Select '1 to Any' if any number of condenser/source pumps are connected to 1 chiller. This refers to a headered pump to chiller relationship.

Upon completion, click 'Next'.

Piping to Field The user must configure the plant piping arrangement within the PlantPRO budget quote wizard. The budget quote wizard is compatible with three piping arrangement; primary only flow, primary secondary flow, variable

primary flow. Select the appropriate option from the drop down list for n chilled water and hot water.

Primary Only Flow

For a primary only system, simply click 'Next'. No further configuration is required on this screen

Primary Secondary Flow (APP-PP-PSF)

For a primary Secondary system, select the number of field DP sensors to be applied in system and if PlantPRO will control the primary secondary system. Upon completion, click 'Next' to continue.

Variable Primary Flow (APP-PP-VPF)

For a variable primary flow system, select the number of field DP sensors to be applied in system and if PlantPRO will control the variable primary flow. Upon completion, click 'Next' to continue.

In this screen, if Pump control is be done by adding Pump Interface Modules or through High Level Interface.

If there is a field communication (BACNet / Modbus / Niagara Network etc.) available between PlantPRO and pump VSDs/ BMS, tick the 'Is Pump Control Over High Level Interface' check box. If this box is left unticked, the PlantPRO budget quote tool will add either 1 x FIM1 - Panel Flow Interface 1 (adds 8 Flow /DP Sensor Inputs to configuration) with 1 PlantPRO-IO30 or 1 x FIM2 - Panel Flow Interface 2 (adds 16 Flow /DP Sensor Inputs to configuration) with 2 PlantPRO-IO30.

Heat/Cool Side Pumps The user must configure heat/cool supply side pumps within the pricing tool wizard.

The user must select one of the following two configurations:

• Select '1 to 1' if 1 pump is connected to 1 chiller. This refers to a dedicated relationship between chiller and primary pump.

• Select '1 to Any' if any number of pump are connected to 1 chiller. This refers to a headered relationship between chiller and primary pumps.

If there is a field communication (BACNet / Modbus / Niagara Network etc.) available between PlantPRO and pump VSDs/ BMS, tick the 'Is Pump Control and Feedback Over High Level Interface' check box. If this box is left unticked, the required pump interface panels will be added to the quote; this will be either 1 x PIM1 - Panel Pump Interface 1 (adds 4 Pumps to configuration) with 1 PlantPRO-IO30 or 1 x PIM2 - Panel Pump Interface 2 (adds 8 Pumps to configuration) with 2 PlantPRO-IO30. For a primary secondary flow system, enter the appropriate number of secondary water pumps. Click 'Next' to continue to the next page.

In this screen, the user may select the desired PlantPRO software and hardware options. The following options are available:

Software Modules

• Unit measurement and verification module - This option will add 1 x APP-PlantPRO - PlantPRO operating platform with upto 5 Units for M&V and reporting on PlantPRO Master Controller running AX SoftJACE to the quote

• Unit plant optimisation module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-COM - PlantPRO Unit Optimisation Module to the quote

• Unit staging and sequencing module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-CSS - PlantPRO Unit Staging & Sequencing to the quote

• Cooling tower control and optimisation module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-CTC - PlantPRO Cooling Tower Control to the quote

• Chilled water bypass control module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-CHWBP - PlantPRO Chilled Water Bypass Control to the quote

• Cooling tower bypass control module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-CWBP - PlantPRO Condenser Water Bypass Control to the quote

• Active plant schematic module - This option will add 1 x APP-PP-SCHEMATICS - PlantPRO Active Plant Schematics Design Interface to the quote

• (Upgrade PlantPRO to PlantPRO System Manager) Use this option only if upgrading from a legacy version of PlantPRO (M&V) to the most recent version of PlantPRO. Does not apply to all sales made after July 2013.

BMS Drivers and Gateways

• BMS BACNet IP server driver - This option will add 1 x Licence BACnet IP Server - DR-BAC-SR-AX to the quote

• BACNet IP to MSTP converter - This option will add 1 x BACnet IP to MSTP Converter - BASRT-B to the quote

• BMS Lon IP driver - This option will add 1 x Licence LON over IP to the quote • Lon IP router - This option will add 1 x IP/LON router to the quote • BMS Modbus TCP slave driver- This option will add 1 x Licence Modbus TCP Slave - DR-MDB-TS-

AX to the quote

Product Support

• Annual software support - This option will add 1 x SUP-PP to the quote. The PlantPRO Annual Maintenance Software Support Package provides free upgrades to latest modules and features released through the year. Mandatory for the first year, optional for subsequent years. Client pays full license costs if no software support package is purchased

• PlantPRO central - This option adds access to SUP-PP-CENTRAL - PlantPRO Central (Hosted service) per Chiller to the quote. This part number is not available currently and is for future development only.

• PlantPRO maintenance - This option adds SUP-MNT-CAL - PlantPRO Maintenance & Sensor Calibration Package per Chiller to the quote

• Touch screen for PlantPRO Master Controller module - This option adds 1 x PP-TCH-MNTR17 - PlantPRO touch screen monitor to the quote. If a PlantPRO panel is included in the quote, this touch screen will be mounted on the panel door. If no panels have been quoted, this panel will be shipped unmounted for mounting by others.

Hardware/Optional Functionality

• Superheat/subcooling sensors - This option will add Strap on Temperature Sensor (TBDH0) per compressor to the quote

• System common supply and return temperature sensors - This option will add 2 x Temperature Sensor and Thermowell, 10kT3 to the quote

• Ambient temperature and humidity sensors - This option will add 1 x Outdoor Temperature & Humidity sensor to the quote

• Oil pressure calculations/diagnostics (Future) • Decoupler temperature sensor - This option will add 1 x Temperature Sensor and Thermowell,

10kT3 to the quote • System flow meter - This option will add 1 x Insertion Paddle Wheel Flowmeter (U001-0022) to the

Additional Sensors/Hardware The user may use the 'additional sensors/hardware' screen to add sensors that are not considered standard within a PlantPRO installation. Select the appropriate sensor/hardware from the provided dropdown lists and note the required quantity.

Sensor Pocket Installation The sensor pocket screen allows for selection of the appropriate number of sensor pockets to be installed within the plant. This screen will only be available if 'Sensor Pocket Installation' was selected initially. Upon completion, click 'Next' to proceed.

Labour The labour screen allows the user to configure any expected overtime required by installation/commissioning staff. Overtime can be configured for each of the following tasks:

• Hardware installation - Estimated allowance for the installation of PlantPRO equipment including PlantPRO panels

• Unit sensor installation - Estimated allowance for the installation of unit sensors required by PlantPRO • Plant sensor installation - Estimated allowance for the installation of plant sensors required by PlantPRO • Sensor pocket installation - Estimated allowance for the installation of sensor pockets (if selected

initially in the PlantPRO quote) • Custom programming - Estimated allowance for any custom programming required on top of the

standard PlantPRO functionality.

The estimated hours for each of these tasks is calculated by the pricing tool wizard. Clicking 'Next' will allow the user to proceed.

Generating the Quote

By clicking 'Generate Quote', the budget quote will be finalised and shown to the user. The budget quote (see below) can be exported in either PDF, word or excel file formats. Budget quote price, customer information, plant information and a bill of materials (BOM) is provided within the quote. Additional information is provided in the quote annexures, including minimum input/output requirements and general PlantPRO operation information. The quote is saved and can be accessed again upon log in.
