About Plantasia 2020 For the past two decades, Plantasia has served as a regional cornerstone for garden and horticultural enthusiasts. An average of 2800 attendees travel to Plantasia from all over South Carolina and beyond in order to purchase some of the newest and most unusual cutting-edge plants. Our unusual plant offerings are balanced by many of the Lowcountry ‘tried and true’ varieties provided by our local growers and nurseries Roots and Shoots, Parsons and Church Creek Nursery.

Over the years Plantasia has grown into one of Charleston’s most anticipated and celebrated annual events. In order to ensure a truly spectacular experience in all things gardening, we partner with the Clemson Extension Master Gardeners, the SC Native Plant Society, and other experts in the field of horticulture. A variety of garden-related vendors, workshops, and demonstrations throughout the day will provide educational opportunities and support and enhance best-practices in horticulture. We will also celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the founding of Charleston Horticultural Society with our 20th Anniversary Plantasia Eve Party on Friday March 27th. This private ticketed event is a fully catered outdoor affair where guests can mingle with other passionate gardeners, get first access to all the plants and garden items for sale, and enjoy cocktails and catered hors d’oeuvres under the beautiful live oaks at Old Towne Creek County Park.
