Shooting Script

In order to complete this correctly, you should paste the lyrics to your song in one

column and complete a detailed description of what visuals are happening in the

column next to it.

Description of visuals

Slow motion shots of ‘Justin’ and the rapper

in different locations (field, abandoned

swimming pool), with flickering shots of the

girl Justin’s singing about.

Shots of ‘Justin Bieber’ singing in the field

with flickering shots of him walking and

doing his hair etc. Also shots of the girl

getting ready to go out to a club/night out.

Similar shots with added close up shots of

the rapper flicker in. (slow motion)

A big (paper) heart is held up and split in

half to reveal the girl behind it.

Medium shot of Lewis & Roblin holding up

large paper or cardboard heart, which will

be red. Annie will then come from behind of

the heart, you will not be able to see her,

and then she will cut through the heart to

reflect the break up.

Added cheesy shots of ‘Justin’ singing the

song.

More close up quick shots from different

angles of ‘Justin’ singing, with more shots of

the girl he is singing about. She will be

getting ready in her bedroom, checking her

phone and looking stressed.

Shots of him texting her trying to make up,

the text appears in a bubble on the screen

but she ignores it. Justin looks at his phone,

see she has read and ignored it, and frowns

into the camera.

Location Recce

Please produce a location recce for EVERY location used

Lighting Information: Lighting will be sufficient however; other added lighting will be used for effect.

Solutions: Adding in extra light.

Sound Information: Roads nearby so cars can be an issue, as well Henley Students coming and going so stopping can happen.

Solutions: Stopping in-between shooting can be an issue but this will have to happen so stopping is necessary.

Power Information A battery packet will be required to power the extra lighting.

Solutions: Battery packet needed to power the added lighting and this will need to be powered up.

Hazards Icy conditions can make the alleyway slippery so taking caution when walking or performing will be needed

Solutions: Taking things slow and possibly putting down grit to stop slipping.

Lighting Information: The lighting in the day is very good as it is in a completely open space and no trees hang over so light is very good.

Solutions: No extra lighting will be required as lighting is very strong and sufficient.

Sound Information: Birds and Henley College students creating noises can be an issue.

Solutions: Editing out the sounds may be required.

Power Information No access to power is able however power is not required.

Solutions: No access to power is needed as a portable speaker can be used and lighting is not needed.

Hazards The way into the pool is quite a big drop and is also icy due to the weather conditions.

Solutions: Using the ladder on the way into and out of the pool and taking it slow to avoid falls is necessary.

Clearances and Confirmations

You need confirmation emails from everyone that is featuring in your music

video. Please screenshot these emails including the dates and times they are

agreeing to paste them below.

Contingency Plan

What are your plans for if something goes wrong? What back up actors,

locations and equipment do you have?

If any actors back out, we will have Ruby Cruse play the role of the girl, Umar

Hussain play the role of Justin and Aaron Linklater play the role of the rapper.

John Browning will be our backup cameraman, as he is experienced behind

the camera and will quickly understand and adapt to our idea.

If we for some reason cannot use our locations, we will have to use backups.

Our backup ‘field’ will be the forests near college, as they will give an

admittedly different look to the scene, but create the same effect. If we

cannot use the alleyway for some reason, there is an alternative location,

which is quite like the alleyway nearby, which will work fine. Lastly, if we

cannot use the abandoned swimming pool, we will use the college smoking

shelter, as it looks rustic and has the same theme as the pool, so would give

off the same effect.
