Pumps, Systems, Equipment & Services
Plad End Suction PumpTake responsibility with sustainable solutions.
Plad has been assembling and manufacturing the family of end suction pumps since its foundation 50 years ago. When you specify or install a Plad end suction pump, you have the assurance that you’re doing your part to conserve our valuable and precious resources of energy and water and you are doing it with a market leader.
According to independent assessment [US Department of Energy] its is estimated that pumps use up to 20% of the worlds electrical power. That’s why we at Plad say that sustainability has long been at the forefront of our processes.
We invest our financial resources to delivery pumps with energy-saving efficiency, and we continue through innovative designs to support sustainability of the products we build. For example.
• Double volute design increases pump life by balancing and reducing net radial forces, to give you maximum time between overhauls for bearings, and shaft seals.
• Pumps that are 95% recyclable at the end of their usefulness.
• Each casing is fitted with replaceable wear rings to extend the pump operable life and to assist to reduce the costs of overhauls, and to improve pump hydraulic efficiency not just at new but during the operable life of the pump.
Do your part to help save energy and waste.Power consumption accounts for 85% of all costs incurred during the life cycle of the pump-nine times more than the initial purchase price and costs of regular maintenance. So, even the smallest improvement in efficiency can be translated to sizable savings. When it comes to energy savings go with one of the industry’s leaders in pumping; Plad!
We made a whole Family of End Suction Pumps so your choice is easy.We know that as every pump is not created equal, so is your application, while some try and sell you a pump, we at Plad give you a pump to fit the application. Between both styles we have high degree of interchangeability of components to also assist you to reduce your inventory of critical parts to the utmost minimum, we realize you want to heat or cool your building or process, or maybe pump critical water to your plant or maybe you are a small municipality supplying water to your customer, and you want a low possible investment possible with high degree of flexibility between all your installed pumps.
Type CC; Close coupled pumps are also with full flanged connections 2-1/2” Discharge and larger, mounted to industrial standard NEMA framed JM electric drivers.
Type BM; Base mounted, full flanged connections 2-1/2” Discharge and larger. Bases are available in steel with standard venting and grout holes, Bearings are furnished permanently sealed for life. The unit can be directly connected to electric drivers, diesel engines, or hydraulic power driven, or v-belt driven

Maintenance, Every pump has the back pull out “BPO” feature, which makes it easy to service, by allowing you the removal of the pump and driver without disturbing the pipe work and thereby eliminating field alignment work on re-installation, and brings the unit back to factory alignment quickly.
Electric motors are standard frame either ODP or TEFC, design in accordance NEMA, output and dimensional standards, special e-motors available according to your requirements.
BM and CC series have standard commercial available inside type mechanical seal serviceable without breaking pipe connections, variations material available suit the medium handle. Large seal chambers, allow for various seal configuration and makes.
The reliable, dynamically balanced impeller and shaft assemblies on the BM and CC series translates to a quiet, long-lasting pump with minimum vibration, as static shaft deflection is reduced. When the specific speed and allowed by pump size, compensated double volute casing design is employed, reducing radial loading with a resultant extended life for bearings and mechanical seal.
Standardised pumps make your world flow round! Plad’s range of materials and pump models is wide, so our customers benefit from solutions tailored to their individual requirements, supplied by a single, competent source from a comprehensive modular design system.
Our sales consultants and applications engineers are close by; our technical sales people can select the best pump-configuration for your application. Together with our distribution partners, we can offer advice for your next project. It all adds up to the right choice for your next project.

1 Compensated Double-Volute. Reduces radial loads, maximizing seal and bearing life, reducing maintenance costs and providing quieter operation. Models 3" and larger.
2 Integrally cast Suction Splitter. Requires minimal suction pipe, while reducing turbulence, providing for lower installation and operating costs. Models 3" and larger.
3 Statically and dynamically balanced, Lead-free Bronze Enclosed Impeller. Standard construction of lead-free bronze, designed for maximum efficiencies, reduces operating costs and assures long life.
4 Replaceable Lead-free Bronze Case Wear Rings. Promote extended casing life, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
5 Replaceable Lead-free Bronze Shaft Sleeve. Increases shaft life, while reducing maintenance and inventory expenses.
6 High strength Steel Shaft. Shaft deflection minimized (.002" at worst case, at shutoff) to promote long bearing and seal life, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
7 Rubber Water Slinger. Prevents leakage from the seal housing, protecting bearings, and promoting continuous operation.
8 Gauge Taps (not pictured). Allow for quick monitoring, preventative maintenance and system analysis.
9 Drain Connection. Allows for ease of maintenance and shorter downtime.
J Sealed For Life Bearings. Prevent environmental contamination, while decreasing maintenance and downtime.
K Heavy-duty, cast in-one-piece, cast iron bearing frame with back pullout design. Solid, one piece frame minimizes down time, provides long life and low operating costs. Back pullout feature reduces installation and maintenance expenses.
L Customized Insert Stuffing Box. Allows field change to match sealing with current pumpage, lower maintenance costs and long life.Type CC

Minimize your Life Cycle costs, Life Cycle value at every turn.Installation, horizontal mounted, end-suction with variable discharge nozzle positions to simplify pipe work layout. The bearing frame is footed to enhance maintainability, with all volutes being footless to minimize the effects of misalignment due to flange strain and thermal expansion. All close coupled provide compact construction and space savings.
