Placement Team Work Flow
A list of about 1000 companies was compiled which included
companies from websites like fundoodata.com to previous recruiters
(other campuses, IITs, NITs also).
A feasibility analysis was conducted and companies were
selected/eliminted on the basis of the following factors:
How big the company is in terms of annual turnover, etc.
Office Locations, whether only in India or abroad also.
Projects the company has undertaken.
Involved in campus recruitments in the past/hires freshers
also.

One in every three companies were selected based on the criteria
mentioned.
The final list consisted of about 350 companies.
Companies were divided into 3 tiers:
Tier 1: Entirely new companies
Tier 2: Companies which were contacted in the previous years
also
Tier 3: Previous Recruiter/ Companies which are highly probable
to visit the campus/ Almost gave confirmations last year.
The list was split among the PCs (100 companies each) and the BC
(about 50 companies)
