PLACEMENT AUDITION INFORMATION TO AUDITION
• Read the enclosed audition information.• Learn the required music (learn only your voice part).• Record your audition and submit using the instructions below.
PLACEMENT AUDITIONS INCLUDE
• Individual singing of the required music (see chart below).• Music theory knowledge – Current students will be scored based on theory level they
have passed; new students will take a short theory test.• (TC Singers only) Vocal solo – Any student auditioning for TC Singers should prepare
a vocal solo between 1-2 minutes in length that highlights his/her individual vocal ability.
OTHER FACTORS THAT WILL BE CONSIDERED
• Previous TCHS Choir experience• Attitude and work ethic in class• Class attendance/concert attendance• Discipline record
AUDITON SUPPORT MATERIALS INCLUDE
• Sheet music (attached to this packet, or go to www.tchschoral.com – click on“Auditions”)
• Rehearsal tracks (go to www.tchschoral.com – click on “Rehearsal Tracks” then findthe title of the song you need to practice)
AUDITION DEADLINE
• All audition videos must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING AUDITION VIDEOS
1. Learn the required music using the provided sheet music and audition tracks.a. Sheet music can be found at https://www.tcss.net/Page/28673. If you cannot click on
the link, go to www.tchschoral.com and visit the “Audition” page.b. Audition tracks can be found at https://www.tcss.net/Page/28673. If you cannot click on
the link, go to www.tchschoral.com and visit the “Audition” page.
2. Record your audition video(s).a. To record your audition video, you will need two devices - one device to play the
audition track and one device to record yourself.b. On device #1, play the audition track out loud. Be sure you are using the track labeled
“Audition Track.”c. On device #2, open the video recording app and make a video of yourself singing your
part along with the audition track. Be sure to answer the questions at the beginning ofthe track.
3. Once you are pleased with your recordings, submit your audition video(s).a. Audition videos can be submitted to https://www.tcss.net/Page/28673. If you cannot
click on the link, go to www.tchschoral.com and visit the “Audition” page.
