Tadpoles is a success! Parents and teachers who are already using the program find it useful and exciting. By the end of September all parents will be receiving their

child’s daily report and notes via email or the Tadpoles free parent app.

Please fill out a Tadpoles email address form if you need to update the address we have on file or if you would like to add a spouse, extended-family or friend’s email address to receive photos and/or daily reports. Forms can be found at

the Parent Information Center.

Welcome to fall y’all! We have a lot of exciting things happening in the month of October. This is fire safety month. Remember to discuss safety concerns with your children and practice a fire drill in your

home. Our VPK will get the chance to visit Connor’s A-Maize-Ing Acres this month, if you’ve never been this is an awesome experience for families as well. Join us for the Trunk-or-Treat Fall Festival and St.

Jude’s Trike-A-Thon on Monday, October 31st. We need parents to volunteer to decorate your trunk and pass out candy in the parking lot.

A BIG Parks’ Place thank you to everyone that attended

our Open House. We hope you enjoyed the scavenger

hunt.

Thank you to the chaperones that accompanied us on

Grilling out this Independence Day? Here are some tips to keep your little one’s safe

this 4th of July!

• Keep children and pets away from the grill area by declaring a 3-foot "kid-free zone" around the grill.

• Keep all matches and lighters away from children. Teach your children to report any loose matches or lighters to an adult immediately.

• Always supervise children around outdoor grills.

For more summer grilling safety tips visit www.parksplacelearningcenter.com.

Breastfeeding Awareness Week

The Tadpoles program will allow our teachers to capture special moments, take

photos, and videos of the children in action as well as send you classroom

information. No more paper will be sent home and instead you’ll get daily reports

and notes right in your email! The same information can also be accessed using

the Tadpoles Parent App on both Apple and Android devices.

Each classroom will be equipped with a Mini iPad, which will be specifically

used for the Tadpoles program. The devices are locked down so the teachers do

not have access to the internet.

We consider all information captured using Tadpoles to be a private

communication between our school and our families. No personal information is

shared with any external parties and as a parent you will only receive information

specifically about your child.

We will be using the email address we have on file to communicate via the

Tadpoles program. Please let us know if that should be updated.

Visit help.tadpoles.com for more information about Tadpoles’ Parent App. And

as always, we’re happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about

this exciting new program.

Please make sure your child wears orange on this day. We will be making unity crowns, learning the song We Are A Family and marching in a parade. Parents and family members are welcome to attend.

• Use hypoallergenic, non-toxic paint or makeup

instead of masks. Masks can obscure your

child’s vision and/or hinder their breathing.

• Avoid oversized costumes and shoes that could

trip your child.

• Attach reflective tape to costumes or candy bags

to make children more visible to drivers.

• Always walk on sidewalks or paths and choose

direct routes with few street crossings.

• Children under 12 should always trick-or-treat

with an adult.

• Children over 12 should trick-or-treat in groups

with a flashlight and cell phone if not

accompanied by an adult.
