The Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEFAC for short) was established in 1974

and since then has made a name for itself as the leading venue when it comes to

exhibitions, conferences and cultural events. Today, VEFAC – popularly known

under the name Giang Vo – is known not only as a venue for trade promotion,

but also as a cultural institution.

Stretching over an area of nearly 07 hectares right in the heart of Hanoi, VEFAC

premises include 03 grand exhibition halls offering an unrivaled 10, 000 sqm of

floor space, 03 state-of-the-art conference rooms, standard technical

infrastructure and on-site logistics services and high-quality auxiliary facilities. As

Vietnam's largest and premier venue for exhibitions, conferences and special

events, the center confidently plays host to a wide range of domestic and

international companies,  and holds some of the country's most important cultural

events every year. Major regular events held at the center include:

- Vietnam's socio-economic achievement exhibitions

- Annual international industrial fair

- Hanoi Trade Fair

- SEAGAMES

- Etc…

VFAC officially has two locations which are Trade, Service and Culture Centre

and National Exhibition Centre.

Considering the purpose of the project, the teams decided to choose Trade,

Service and Culture Centre to locate our pop-up store. The Trade, Service and

Culture Centre of VFAC is at 148 Giang Vo, Ba Đinh, Ha Noi.

Here is the floor plan for VEFAC venue:

The Trade, Service and Culture Centre in Giang Vo consists of 3 exhibition halls

which are Hall A1, Hall A3 and D. Different position of standard booths will be

charged with different amount of money. Following the estimated budget, the

team decided to put our pop up store at Hall A1, Level 1 located indoor in Ground

Floor. Level 1 of Hall A1 which is 3,808 sqm includes maximum capacity of 218

standard booths. Each standard booth is about 10sqm.

After reviewing both advantages and disadvantages of each standard booth’s

location, the team decided to choose standard booth number 132 which located

in front of the main entrance for customers’ better vision. The standard booth

no.200 has two facades which are not abutting with other standard booths. The

location without any distraction from poles or electricity boxes or fire boxes is

ideal location for the pop-up store. The location was marked with yellow color

and blue rim in the following picture:

In order to stay true to the theme of the fair as well as the occasion in which the

fair is held, the decoration of our store will take two main aspects into

consideration:

- The exhibition pop – up store are built and decorated using very traditional

and familiar types of material, including:

Bamboo for building the frame and exhibition desk for the pop – up

store.

Dried coconut leaves to cover the roof of the pop – up store.

- The interior of the pop – up store is decorated using the shop’s own products,

the most recognized ones and those promoted in the fair alike. Additionally,

other decorating items such as blossom trees and Tet holiday ornaments are

included to keep the pop – up store relevant to the theme of the fair, including

several national Tet holiday floral decorations like peach blossom or apricot

blossom as well as some images of the old and the modern way that this

holiday is celebrated.
