NAAC PEER TEAM VISIT REPORT The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team visited P.K.Roy

Memorial College on 4th and 5th September 2021 for Second Cycle of Assessment and re-

accreditation. NAAC Peer Team comprised of Dr. Rajesh Jaipurkar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Sant Gadge

Baba Amravati University, Maharashtra (Chairman, NAAC Peer Team), Dr. Sanjeev Kumar H M,

Professor, Dept of Political Science, University of Delhi (Member Co-coordinator, NAAC Peer Team)

and Dr. Ramanlal Modi, Principal, C.P.Patel & F.H.Shah Commerce College, Anand, Gujarat (Member,

NAAC Peer Team). NAAC Peer Team inspected the college in connection with assessment and

accreditation broadly used for understanding the “Quality Status” of the college.

Dr. Rajeev Pradhan, Coordinator, IQAC introduced members of NAAC Peer Team to the

Principal and other Teaching/Non-teaching Staffs of the college in the Principal’s Chamber.

Assessment and Accreditation by NAAC Peer Team started with the PPT presentation about the

college by the Principal, Dr. B.K.Sinha.

A meeting was held with all Head of the Departments in the Birsa Munda Conference Hall where all

HOD’s presented their departmental PPT. The Team also verified data and documental files related

to the planning for curriculum delivery during the presentation.

Peer Team met members of the IQAC in the Hybrid Classroom, LT-04 where coordinator IQAC, Dr.

Rajeev Pradhan highlighted the achievements and functioning of IQAC through PPT Presentation.

The Peer Team visited different Departments and classrooms of Science/Social Science/Humanity/

Commerce/Vocational and Skill Oriented Courses where they assessed the learning level of the

students, innovation in teaching-Learning, adherence to academic calendar and internal assessment

of students. The status of Research, Innovations and Extension activities is verified by visiting

Laboratories (Research equipments/instruments) and Computer Labs of the College.

On Lunch Peer Team had a interaction with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the affiliating

BBMK University, Dhanbad Sri. Kamal John Lakra supported by Sri. Sanjay Kumar Verma-Finance

advisor, Dr. Debjani Biswas, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Dilip Kumar Giri-CCDC and Dr. Bikash

Kumar- Registrar of the University. Representative of Jharkhand Government Dr. Vibha Pandey, State

Nodal Officer RUSA also discussed with the Peer Team Members during the Lunch-on-meeting.

The Peer Team also visited and verified the Infrastructure and facilities available for Students

Support & Progression in the college such as Library (Physical and Digital), Language Lab, Classrooms

including Hybrid Classroom and Classroom dedicated to Swayam Prabha, NCC, NSS, Examination,

Placement Cell, Career & Counseling Cell, College Band, Sports facilities, Gymnasium, Common

Rooms for Girls and Boys, Sick Room, Canteen etc.

A Cultural Program was organized by the students of college cultural society in the evening at Dr.

Homi Jahangir Bhaba Auditorium. A bouquet of Programs including Dance, Song, Solo Act, Painting

etc was performed by the students.

The Peer Team had a separate interaction with the Students, Alumni and Parents where they

discussed about Student Satisfaction Survey, Grievance-redressal, Student’s Union, Anti-Raging Cell,

Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell, contribution from Alumni etc.

The two days visit of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team

concluded with an exit meet held in the Library auditorium of the College where Peer Team shared

their experiences of two days visit and submitted the Report to the Principal.
