School Website: https://www.pittsburg.k12.ca.us ********************************************************************************************************************General Information ATTENDANCE: It is extremely important to send a note or call the attendance line when your student is absent from school (no later than 48 hours). The attendance line phone number is 925-473-2391. When leaving a message on attendance line please state the student’s name, id number, reason for the absence, your name and relationship to student. Please refer to the student handbook for Excused absences. STUDENT ID: A school ID is required each and every day at PHS. This is important safety requirement. Failure to have a school ID may result in fines and/or disciplinary action. REMINDER: Students cannot sell items on campus (candy, chips, etc.) for personal profit, per ASB regulations. Items will be confiscated and will not be returned. Only clubs are permitted to sell items on campus after approval from Leadership. SPORTING EVENTS: Backpacks/large bags are not allowed at events. Please plan accordingly! Current school ID’s are required for entry to all events! STUDENT PARKING PERMITS: Student parking is limited so if you are driving to school please complete a Parking Lot Registration application (parent signature required). Application are available in Office A202. Free Bus Passes You may apply online at www.schoolpool.org/bus or call 925-969-0841 ext. 1004. The application period is open from March 2 through March31. Yearbook Purchase your 2019-20 Yearbook from Ms. Bernice in office C103. Cost: $60.00. Evening School Students can join ES remind by texting the message @espirate to the number 81010 in order to receive evening school information. English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) Meetings Meetings are held in the library at 8:30am. Dates of meetings: March 17, April 21 and May 19.
School Site Council (SSC) Meetings Meetings are held in the library at 4:30pm. Dates of meetings: March 19, April 23 and May 21. Course Selections for 2020-21 School Year CURRENT 9TH GRADERS: Counselors will be meeting with current 9th graders individually to discuss class options, academic plans and choices this month and into the first week of March. Any questions please contact the counseling office at 925-473-2390 Extension 7504. Seniors COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: Seniors need to have their community service hours completed by May 1st. Service hours are a graduation requirement. Seniors may speak to their counselors if they have any questions.
ACHIEVERS: To order your cap & gown and other graduation items please visit: www.graduationorder.com password: phs925. Achievers will be on campus March 11 during lunch in the Quad. ABOUT THE EVENT Do you love engineering, art, working with your hands, or problem-solving? TheMcCarthy Partnership for Women is organizing a hands-on event to promote andeducate young women about the multi-faceted industry that construction is! The event isopen to all grades of high school girls and you will be able to learn about trades likeconcrete, electrical, plumbing, and framing, all while also learning how to properly andsafely use tools. Additionally, there will be special presentations for 3D software,leadership coaching, unions, engineers, architects, and a representative from one of thebest Universities in California. Presentation and Q&A for parents' awareness will beheld shortly after drop-off.
