Client for my magazine is the Northern Echo . I have chosen 16-24 year olds.

Within this I am restricted to what I can publish,

I will also consider the amount of advertising I will use as The Northern echo will take 33% of profits .

I set up a survey to ask my audience questions, to get to know the lifestyle of my readers... My product as fits in with my audience as I show I have provided interest to my audience, and have filled a gap in the market.

Genre Research

The genre of my Magazine is Women’s Lifestyle.As I think I know more about this genre as a person, and I am able to produce professional articles and products towards my consumers. Providing them with a high quality monthly magazine.

Layout looks professional, and catchy.

Pink, girly colour scheme instantly attracts girls.

Mast head, in bold big letters. Also it states above that is it Britain's No1 women's magazine. People are then going to be persuaded to buy it as it is a popular magazine, obviously with good ideas inside.

Capital letters, and punctuation emphasises the narration of the magazine.

Ideas I have produced two mock ups for one article choice, which I then had to ask a rang of people who are within my target audience to get their opinion.

MOCK UP 1

Colour scheme fits in with genre of the magazine.

Preferred this article type (integrated interview)

Pictures work well around the article to show the importance of the text.

Break out box, with facts is knowledgeable for the audience.

The language suited the audience well, very fluent with a clear visible font.

Title does not fit in with the genre, and it does not persuade the reader to read on.

The pictures look dark, in contrast with the colour scheme.

Campaign helpline is useful, and makes reader feel selected.

The colour scheme

fits well with genre.

The main focus is the big picture on the left showing the story through the picture.

The language is very formal, and serious which reflects the article.

Tile font is a bit to blunt, and is not catchy.

Pictures are two different colours, and do not match together.

The layout looks unprofessional.
