- Improve maritime awareness
- Improve cooperation betwen nations participating in the fight against piracy (EU, NATO, CMF, nations acting independently)
- Re-enforce ship’s security by active or passive measures
IMPROVE SECURITY AT SEA
- Identify and disrupt financial and logistical channels
- Identify and target the head of the structure
- Improve regional cooperation in order to deny pirates any shelter
- Information and intelligence on piracy linked issues
TARGET PIRACY LAYERED STRUCTURE
Establish an International Court of Justice in order to trail alledged pirates, reduce their confidence and deter potential candidates…
At present only 13% of arrested alledged pirates are being trialed (EU figures)
