Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course is the Hidden Jewel of the Foothills! Our 18-hole public golf course, voted “4 ½ Stars Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest Magazine, of-fers beautiful views on a classic mountain style course designed by William F. Bell, and opened in 1970. Our 2800 foot elevation af-fords us year round play and we are “Above the Fog and Below the Snow”. Each hole has its own chal-lenges and with four sets of tees, you can change your experience just by changing which tee boxes you play from. The golf course winds through age-old oaks, tall pines and cedars, winding its way over the hillsides and valleys with awesome views of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountain range. The greens are subtle but staying below the hole is always a good plan as the downhill-ers can be tricky.
Pine Mountain Lake is a course that can be appreciated by all levels of golfers, scratch to beginners. The course record is 61 (nine under par!) set by the Head Profession-al Mike Cook. No matter your skill level you’ll find your day spent on the course quite enjoyable with all of
the flora and fauna that the foothills have to offer: herds of mule deer, red-tail hawks, blue jays and wild-life galore!
Junior GolfAnd for all aspiring golfers ages 7-18 we offer Golf Clinics where you can learn most everything you need to know about playing golf - how to swing the club, rules and etiquette, and strategy on the golf course. We offer two levels on instruction: Beginning and Intermediate. Clin-ics are 3 days, Thursday, Friday & Saturday for 1-1/2 hours per day. Dates for this summer are July 6th – 8th, July 20th – 22nd and August 3rd – 5th. We will be expanding our junior program in 2017 so please contact the Golf Shop at 209-962-8620 to sign up for our events or for more information.
Golf ShopIt always helps to look great on the course no matter the shape of your game. The Golf Shop can help you look your best on the course with our large variety of men’s and la-dies golf wear at great prices. We carry polos, tops, shorts, outer-wear, headwear and much more, from Bermuda Sands, Adidas, An-tigua, Cutter & Buck, Jamie Sadok and others. We can also outfit you
with all your equipment needs – clubs, balls, gloves and bags from Titleist, Footjoy, Cobra, TaylorMade, Adidas and others. If don’t have it we can get it for you at great prices.
LessonsIf you are looking to start playing golf or in need of a tune-up for your game, the Professionals in the Golf Shop can help you out. We provide instruction either individually or in groups, one lesson at a time or in a series. Contact PGA Pro Mike Cook, Assistant Pro Doug Schmiett or Instructor Dave Nilan at 209-962-8620 for more info and rates.
RentalsThe Golf Shop also offers rental clubs and push carts. Other ser-vices for PML Property Owners include golf bag storage, lockers and Golf Annuals. Inquire at the Golf Shop for more details.
DRIVING RANGE & PRACTICE AREASOur driving Range has both grass and artificial mats for warming up before your round or fine tuning your swing. We also have a Short Game practice area with its own green and bunker for working on those scoring strokes. And don’t forget to hit the Putting Green, adja-
cent to the 1st tee, before teeing off. Tokens for the range ball machine can be purchased at the Golf Shop or the Snack Shack; $3 per token (25-30 balls) or 4 tokens for $10 (over 100 balls).
TEE TIME RESERVATIONSReservations can be made by calling the Golf Shop at 209-962-8620 during regular Golf Shop hours. Property Owners may re-serve tee times up to 14 days in advance of play for themselves and their guests. Reservations for all days of Memorial Day, Indepen-dence Day and Labor Day holidays may be made 14 days prior to the first day of the holiday week-end. All non-property owners can make reservations up to 10 days in advance of play. We accept reser-vations starting at 7 am March 14th through November 6th. Reserva-tions during our “shotgun season” (11 am shotguns from November 7th – March 12th, 2017) can be made starting at 8 am.
