PUMP CONTROL & PROTECTION

PILOT Blue Box is an electronic device for the control of single phase and three phase motors (pumps) which provides protection against:Ÿ Over current, phase loss, excessive number of starts.

The backlit LCD displays the running current and PILOT stops the pump if the maximum value set by the user is exceeded.

The maximum number of pump starts is also user selectable and PILOT Blue Box will stop the pump operation if this value is exceeded.

Dry running

PILOT provides a display of the power factor value (P.F. or cosø) and allows the user to set a minimum threshold value for normal operations. PILOT Blue Box will stop the pump below this value to protect against dry running.

PILOT Blue Box will make up to 5 automatic restart attempts following an alarm condition at time intervals set by the user.

PILOT Blue Box stores in memory the number of pump starts and total running hours. The alarm history is also stored to assist with servicing.

The body is constructed entirely of aluminium, making PILOT Blue Box extremely solid and easily cooled.

The IP55 protection makes it possible to install PILOT Blue Box even in humid and dusty environments.

Also Available

2 digital inputs, user selectable as normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.), for connection of external control switches. These contacts (volt free) allow the pump to be stopped or started by float switches, pressure switches, thermal protection, etc......

1 output relay contact to control an external alarm (250 VAC or 30 VDC, max 5A). This user configurable as N.O. or N.C.

Contacts to connect a boost capacitor to assist the starting of single phase pumps.

PILOT, in combination
