OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENTNEC Display Solutions’ commitment to the environment is carried through in many facets of our business—from the components used in our products and partnerships we form to the programs we offer and standards we help develop.

For many years, NEC has been active in environmental issues facing the display industry. We have embarked on both company- and industry- wide initiatives aimed at producing products that are as environmentally friendly as possible.

We have proactively reduced the number of contaminants such as mercury in our products. Our development of leading-edge lighting technology permits up to a 50% reduction in display power consumption.

Since the Total Trade™ program began, an estimated 5 million pounds of materials have been recycled. Additionally, printing our product manuals on recycled paper and reselling refurbished component parts demonstrates a commitment to reuse as much material as possible.

NEC contributed to the EPA’s ENERGY STAR recycling guidelines for displays. Where we can’t reduce or reuse, NEC facilitates the process of recycling by using more expensive, more easily disposed of plastics and by sponsoring recycling events.

Extended service plans are available for an additional one or two years beyond the end of the manufacturer’s warranty period. All parts and labor that are available under the original warranty as well as lightning and power surge protection are covered. Previously purchased products are also eligible provided they have at least 90 days remaining on the manufacturer’s warranty. Shipping is covered both ways.

For a low, one-time fee, a temporary unit can be provided during warranty repair in many overseas locations. NP Series projectors are covered, and overseas repair is included if time permits. TravelCare must be purchased within the first 90 days of ownership.

Minimize your downtime with a guaranteed maximum three (3) business day repair of the unit. Unit will ship back standard overnight at no additional cost. RepairCare comes standard with most NP Series projectors.

Participate in our simple and cost-effective recycling program ensuring proper disposal of projection units up to 40 lbs., regardless of brand. Receive an official certificate of disposal for each projector recycled. EcoCare is available for a low one-time fee, plus shipping cost. For an additional fee, packing material can be supplied for your NEC projector.

Receive a next business day replacement or three (3) day repair of the unit, dependent on customer preference and availability. InstaCare comes standard with most NP Series projectors. Additional InstaCare coverage is available for a fee.
