We are delighted to present the second edition of PIE Tech - Impressions for this exciting year 2016.

“Impressions” aims to bring out the buzz in the campus for the period of February – May 2016.The

three sections of this Newsletter – throw light on the

activities & happenings in our Institution. Criticism and suggestions to improve the contents of this

News Letter are always welcome.

College Buzz

April 30 PIE Tech Trophy Cricket Tournament Finals took place and the Chief Guests-Mr.V.R.Sivakumar,

Vice President, CDCA, Mr. S.Gowthaman, Secretary, CDCA Mr.P.Jayakumar, Correspondent,JK

Public School, A.Nagoor graced the occasion. The Trophy was won by Sri Saraswathi Thiyagaraja

College, Pollachi.

April 28 “Unnal Mudiyum” a Motivational and Opportunities in Higher Studies Programme was conducted

for Higher Secondary School students in and around Pollachi by us in association with Rotary Royalz,

Pollachi at KKG Kalyana Mandapam, Pollachi. Our Chief Guests -Prof. G. Gnanasambandan,

Prof.Emeritus, Thiagarajar College, Madurai, Mr. Jayaprakash Gandhi, Higher Studies Consultant,

Salem and Ms. Kirtanya Krishnamoorthy, CEO - Mind Fresh Training, Chennai enlightened the gathering

about the current trends in education, employment and the challenges met by student community.

April 20 We bid farewell to our First batch students 2012-2016 and offer letters from the Recruitment

Companies were distributed to our Students.Mr. Balaji Thayalan V.P & Co-Founder, CADeploy

Engineering Pvt. Ltd., and Mrs. Sinipriya Appu - HR Manager, Circor Energy graced the occasion.

April 9: We celebrated PIE Tech Annual Day & Sports Day. Our Chief GuestsThiru. C. Sivagnanaselvam,

CEO and MD, CS and Associates Pvt. Ltd., Salem and Thiru. Marabin Mainthan Muthaiah,

Editor - Namadhu Nambikkai captivated our students with their enthralling talks.

March13: An Awareness Program on “Conservation and Preservation of Trees” was organized in

association with Suvikaaram Foundations. 50 student volunteers of Green Club participated and

removed nails from trees in and around Mahalingapuram, Pollachi.

March 8: We celebrated International Womens' Day by honoring Woman Entrepreneur

Ms. Mohanapriya Thangavel, Executive Director, Shreshtha Renewables, Pollachi. 100 tree saplings

were planted in the college campus to mark the occasion.

February 16: One day Workshop on “Non destructive Testing Techniques” was organized by

Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mr. E. Senthil Kumar, Manager - Training, Blue Ray

Inspection Services, Coimbatore was the resource person.

February 8: A Guest Lecture on “Industrial Automation Tools” was organized by Department of

Mechanical Engineering and Mr. V. Sathish Kumar, Project Manager, Ampex Automation Controls,

Coimbatore was the key speaker.
