5 WAYS TO PREPARE YOUR JIVE PHONE SYSTEM

DETERMINE HOLIDAY HOURS, INPUT THE SCHEDULE INTO YOUR PHONE SYSTEM

Click SCHEDULES in the left sidebar.

Click the schedule that requires changes to its pre-scheduled holidays.

From the Holidays tab, click NEW HOLIDAY.

Enter a NAME for the holiday.

Select a Start Date and End Date for the holiday.Note: Holidays do not recur year after year (i.e Christmas must be added each year).

Click the checkmark icon.

DIVERT CALLS OR USE CALL FORWARDING WHEN YOU’RE ON VACATION.

Select the line you’d like to configure.

Click on your Find Me/Follow Me settings.

Simultaneous or sequential ringing.

Ring Timeout (How many times the line should ring before moving on to the next step)

No Answer (After reaching the Ring Timeout, where should the call go?)

Call Fail (If the calls fails due to an Internet outage orhardware issue, where should it go?

3 RECORD HOLIDAY-SPECIFIC GREETINGS, AUTO-ATTENDANT MESSAGES, AND ON-HOLD MESSAGES.

To record your new holiday sound clip:

Dial *14 from your Jive phone.

Enter your dialable password (the default is 0000).

Record the sound clip.

Press #.

Select one of the following:

Press 1 to accept the recording.

Press 2 to listen to the recording.

Press 3 to re-record.

Or, to upload a sound clip from your computer:

Click SOUND CLIPS in the left sidebar.

Click New Sound CLIPS.

Browse for and select a file from your computer.

Enter a Description of the sound clip.

Click the checkmark icon.

Click USERS in the left sidebar.

Click COMBO WIZARD.

Enter the user’s User Settings: first name, last name (required),and email address.

Configure the user’s Line Settings.

Configure the user’s Hard Settings.

Configure the user’s Device Settings.

Click OK.

5 CREATE HOLD-MUSIC PLAYLISTS WITH HOLIDAY MUSIC.

To create a holiday playlist:

Click HOLD MUSIC in the left sidebar.

Click NEW PLAYLIST.

Enter a Name for the playlist.

Click the checkmark icon.

To upload holiday favorites (ones you have rights to,of course) to your holiday playlist:

Click HOLD MUSIC in the left sidebar.

Click the playlist where you want to place the music file.

Click UPLOAD MUSIC.
