did what the court asked: testify to what theywitnessed. The fact that somebody wasconvicted of a crime does not establish thenecessary grounds for perjury charges andmakes a mockery of the prosecutor's office.During the assault trial, no officers wereable to corroborate the story that an assaultoccurred. Only the alleged victim was surethat an assault occurred. The other officer

brought to testify, who said he stood right nextto the officer during the incident, said he

couldn't say for sure if an assault had occurred.
