A NORMAL, SENSIBLE PATH A bachelor’s degree in Psychology will make it much easier
for you. You’ll most likely get a “non-terminal” masters degree while
you’re pursuing the Ph.D. A Psy.D. will also do the trick…don’t think that you absolutely
need a Ph.D.
TRAINING When do I get to do therapy?!?!
I did not get to provide therapy until my first year of graduate school.

Enjoyed listening to others. Fantasies about being heard and
valued. Fascination with the similarities between
the Bible and the field of psychology. Commitment to lifelong personal growth.
A DAY IN THE LIFE…0500 – Wake up.0620 – Arrive at morning formation.0630 – Conduct PT.0800 – “S___, shower, shave.”0900 – Staff triage cases.1100 – staff meetings, command
consultation.1300 – scheduled therapy appointments.1600 – write notes. 1700 – Return home.
