HousingThe new Camfil Pharmaseal-E Terminal hou-sing for replaceable HEPA-filter was especi-ally designed for the high requirements of the Pharma industry. The unique construction is continuously welded and therefore absolutely airtight. The „universal-knife-edge“ principle allows perfect HEPA filter tightness with zero leakage: <0.01% acc. to ISO EN 14644-3.

Continuous sheet metal from air entry to knife-edge

The whole housing is powder coated in white RAL 9010 for long lasting appearance, cleanability and resistance to decontamina-tion agents. At the factory each Pharmaseal-E has to pass the individual “Factory Acceptance Test” including a pressure decay test at 750Pa and then receives a unique serial number for traceability.

Detachable universal mounting blocks al-low quick and easy installation suspended by hangers as well as clamped to solid clean-room panels or installed in standard “T-bar” ceiling grids.

For the required airflow Camfil also offers information about the noise level of the dif-ferent grids.

Pharmaseal®-EThe new solution for Terminal Housing in Bio-Pharma

Minimized production downtimes

A hinged grid with magnetic fasteners can be opened for the service. Auto-stop clamps and helpful filter guides allow one person performing the filter change safely within shortest time. The Pharmaseal-E combines process safety with highest convenience.

Thanks to a special isolation damper (option) with gel gasket the housing can be totally isolated from the remaining HVAC sys-tem. As a consequence, adjacent processes can be kept running during the filter mainte-nance. Costly downtimes can be reduced to a minimum.

Fast in situ filter test in compliance with GMP

The Pharmaseal-E is fully equipped to perform the GMP test in situ. Through a room-side injection port - connected to an integrated dispersion ring - the test aerosol (PAO or DEHS) can be spread evenly over the filter.

A second upstream access port serves the 100% sampling and the pressure drop measurement. Due to this construction the filter testing requires only little test aerosol for a short time frame. Furthermore, this leads to an accelerated test procedure and no pollution of the ducting network.
